You will work closely with Functional Consultants, Developers, and other specialists while retaining accountability for the overall solution architecture.\nAs part of the Nonprofit Practice team, you will work with charities, community service organisations, and nonprofit business and professional associations, delivering Salesforce solutions with a focus on Nonprofit Cloud, Care Services, and Fundraising.\nRole and Responsibilities:\nPre-Sales and Solution Design\nSupport the sales cycle by understanding client requirements, responding to solution requirements, and defining appropriate Salesforce solution architectures. \nPartner with the Head of Sales and Marketing to support business development activities, including opportunity qualification, solution positioning, estimating, proposal development, and client presentations. \nDevelop and validate solution estimates, scope, assumptions, dependencies, and architectural risks in collaboration with the broader solution team. \nLead client demonstrations during the sales cycle, leveraging Functional Consultants, Developers, and other specialists as required. \nServe as a trusted advisor to prospective and existing clients, translating business objectives and requirements into practical solution approaches. \nSolution Architecture and Governance\nLead initial solution definition workshops following contract award to validate requirements and establish the breadth and boundaries of scope. \nDefine and maintain the overall solution architecture, including key solution components, data architecture, integrations, security, and architectural principles. \nWork closely with the Functional Consultant as they develop detailed requirements, process designs, and solution documentation. \nProvide architectural governance throughout delivery, ensuring detailed functional and technical designs remain aligned with the approved solution architecture. \nSupport Functional Consultants and project teams in resolving blockers, complex design decisions, and changes requiring architectural guidance. \nIdentify and communicate architectural risks, dependencies, and impacts that may affect scope, budget, timeline, or solution quality. \nLeadership and Practice Development\nProvide leadership, mentoring, and architectural guidance to other members of the Project Team. \nContribute to the growth of the practice through thought leadership, development of solution accelerators, reusable assets, and participation in operational activities such as recruitment, onboarding, training, and enablement. \nProvide architectural support to the Managed Services Team as required. \nQualifications:\nMinimum of 5 years' experience designing and delivering Salesforce solutions, or leading enterprise CRM and digital transformation projects involving comparable platforms and technologies, including: Nonprofit CRM systems (e.g. Penelope, Microsoft Dynamics, NPSP, Civica, Carelink)\nFundraising Software (e.g. Funraisin, FundraiseUp, Stripe, Raisely)\nMarketing Software (e.g. Marketing Cloud, Ortto) \nIntegration platforms (e.g. MuleSoft, Workato, Zapier, Make.com, Omatic) \n\nProven track record of estimating, planning, and architecting end-to-end solutions. \nExperience in multiple full lifecycle implementations with responsibility for solution architecture or solution leadership. \nExperience supporting pre-sales activities, including requirements analysis, solution design, estimating, and demonstrations. \nExperience and understanding of software development methodologies, including Agile and Waterfall. \nKnowledge of data migration and integration practices. \nOne or more current Salesforce certifications, with Architecture, Application, Integration, or Nonprofit Cloud certifications highly regarded. \nMust be based in Australia (preferably Sydney) and hold a valid permit to work. \nSkills:\nStrong experience designing and architecting Salesforce solutions, preferably with experience or knowledge of Nonprofit Cloud, Data Cloud, and Marketing Cloud. \nStrong understanding of Salesforce architecture, including data modelling, security, automation, integration, and application design. \nAbility to design pragmatic, scalable, and maintainable solution architectures that balance business outcomes, Salesforce best practices, and delivery constraints. \nStrong solution scoping and estimation skills, including the ability to identify assumptions, dependencies, risks, and areas requiring further discovery. \nStrong consultative and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build trusted advisor relationships and influence decision-making. \nExceptional communication and facilitation skills, including the ability to lead workshops, demonstrations, and discussions with both technical and non-technical audiences. \nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to guide teams through complex architectural decisions and trade-offs. \nAbility to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams while providing architectural leadership and governance. \nCommitment to continuous improvement, innovation, and
