Collaborates closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the availability, security, reliability and performance of our data analytics infrastructure, systems and solutions.\nEssential Duties/Responsibilities\nReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.\nData Infrastructure Management:Designs, builds, tests, and maintains databases, data lakes, and data warehouses. \nEnsures data storage solutions are secure and compliant with relevant regulations through collaborative work with security staff. \nMonitors and manages the performance of data systems. \n\nData Quality and Integrity:Implements data quality checks and validation processes. \nTroubleshoots data issues ensuring data accuracy and reliability. \nAdministers data security, privacy, and consistency across systems according to policy. \n\nData Pipeline Design and Development:Designs and builds ETL/ELT pipelines to move data from various sources to target systems. \nEnsures data pipelines are scalable, reliable, and efficient. \nOptimizes data flow and storage for performance and cost. \nWorks with SMEs to model data in line of business data domains and producing ERDs.\n\nCollaboration and Communication:Works closely with data analysts, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements from importing to transforming and reporting.\nCollaborates on data-driven projects and initiatives. \nCommunicates technical information clearly and concisely. \n\nStaying Updated on Emerging Technologies:Keeps up to date with the latest trends and technologies in data engineering. \n\nRegular and reliable attendance is required as an essential function of this position.\nOther Duties/Responsibilities \nSpecialize on Alpine Bank specific data requirements.\nContributes and documents data policies, procedures, and standards.\nContributes to data strategies for monitoring, backup, recovery, accessibility, and security.\nPerforms other duties as assigned.\nEmployees are held accountable for all duties of this job.\nJob Qualifications\nKnowledge, Skills, and Ability:\nWorking knowledge of data and database standard designs, theories, backup, recovery, security, and integrity along with end user application connections.\nUnderstanding of Microsoft SQL Service Stack, SSRS, SSIS, SSMS & SSAS and able to create and manage solutions using these tools.\nWorking knowledge of VS code, git, code repositories, Azure data factory, Azure SQL databases\nETL/ELT creation, modification, and monitoring.\nAble to perform work with a high degree of latitude. \nAbility to explain complex ideas in simple terms.\nStrong problem-solving and critical thinking.\nEducation or Formal Training Required:\nBA/BS in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent training and experience.\nIndustry relevant certifications. i.e. MS Azure DBA\nPossession of, or ability to obtain, a valid State of Colorado Driver’s License is required.\nExperience Required:\n0-3 years’ experience in data analytics and reporting.\nExperience with Microsoft Fabric, Microsoft Power BI, Azure Dev Ops, Microsoft Visual Studio.\nExperience in SQL (TSQL, DB2), Python (pyspark), DAX/MDX expressions. \nExperience with Bicep, Terraform, PowerShell is a plus.\nWorking Conditions\nWorking Environment:\nThis job operates in a professional office environment, that may have a hybrid schedule to include remote work and in office but can change at any time. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. Minimal driving may be required for branch visits and in-person meetings.\nPhysical Activities:\nThese are representative of those which must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.\nThis is largely a sedentary role.
