The successful applicant possesses an educator’s mindset, interacts well with students, and demonstrates an ongoing willingness to learn.\nEssential Duties/Responsibilities\nReasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.\nWorks collaboratively with Staff Development and other departments to develop and implement lending curriculum, manuals, and resources. \nInstructs staff on lending basics and principles. \nTrains lending staff, including retail and loan operations, on Lending Operations Software. \nStays up to date on changes made to Lending Operations Software and educates staff on any new developments. \nSupports lending staff by answering questions and providing ongoing instruction as needed. \nDevelops and maintains a high level of lending knowledge including but not limited to financial accounting, consumer lending, business lending, commercial lending, underwriting, and loan documentation. \nUnderstands and applies Alpine Bank processes, policies, and loan guidelines. \nDevelops expert proficiency in Alpine Bank loan policy and loan guidelines to become a reliable and approachable resource for bank staff.\nConsistently provides feedback to managers regarding an individual’s progress throughout lending training. \nAssesses loan training effectiveness through quizzes, assessments, and collaborates with management to identify knowledge gaps. \nEnsures materials are up to date with State and Federal regulations. \nAdministers outside training services. \nTravels to various locations throughout the state to facilitate and provide instruction, as needed. \nRegular and reliable on-site attendance is required as an essential function of this position.\nPerforms other duties as assigned. \nEmployees are held accountable for all duties of this job.\nJob Qualifications\nKnowledge, Skills, and Ability:\nAbility to share expertise with others. \nStrong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. \nPossess excellent presentation skills. \nAbility to understand business or regulatory implications of decisions. \nAbility to collaborate, work efficiently within a team, and to suggest new ideas or potential solutions without prompting. \nDemonstrated strong analytical and problem-solving skills. \nSelf-motivated and able to work independently with minimum supervision. \nAbility to complete and prioritize workload to a high degree of detail. \nProficient in computer applications such as Adobe, Microsoft Word, and Excel. \nTechnologically adept and willing and able to learn new systems. \nEducation or Formal Training:\nHigh School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) equivalent required.\nBachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or similar field is preferred. \nPossession of, or ability to obtain, a valid State of Colorado Drivers’ License, required.\nPossession of, or ability to obtain, a valid NMLS License, required.\nExperience:\nA minimum of two (2) years in a similar banking environment.\nA strong exposure and understanding of loan documentation and lending principles is preferred. \nAn equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted on a year to year basis.\nWorking Conditions\nWorking Environment:\nThis job operates in a professional office environment, that may have a hybrid schedule to include remote work and in office but can change any time at management discretion. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, multifunction printers, and filing cabinets. Frequent travel is required for this job.\nPhysical Activities:\nThese are representative of those which must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.\nThis is largely a sedentary role; however, some physical demands of standing and/or sitting for long periods of time may occur, with some filing or organizing of materials/supplies; it would require the ability to reach for and lift files and items, open cabinets and bend or stand on a stool, as necessary. Good eyesight and hand/finger dexterity, and ability to remain calm and professional with upset employees is necessary. May spend significant time doing computer work, with repetitive motion likely. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.
