Depending upon the workload and distance traveled, occasional overnight travel may be required.\nWill have close client interaction, often dealing with sensitive and confidential information.\nWrites and submits detailed and accurate reports on completed investigations in a timely manner in accordance with company guidelines.\nWill communicate with National Fire Experts' customers to provide timelines and project updates on a consistent basis.\nMust be willing and able to provide expert testimony and/or depositions on an as needed basis.\nMust be willing to work a flexible schedule during periods of peak business demand.\nWill provide excellent customer service to both the company’s internal and external customers.\nPerform other duties as assigned by management. \nMinimum Qualifications:\nMust have CFEI certification through NAFI, or CFI certification through IAAI (preferred).\nMust hold or have the ability to obtain a Private Investigator License in the state(s) in which they are assigned within 60 days of employment (if applicable).\nMust be familiar with NFPA 921.\nMust meet all the requirements for qualification as a fire investigator per NFPA 1033.\nPrevious expert testimony or deposition experience highly preferred but not required.\nDegree or some college coursework is preferred but not required.\nMust have at least 2 years of hands on experience working in the public and/or private sectors performing fire origin and cause investigations on residential and commercial structures.\nMust be well organized with the ability to deliver fast and accurate turnaround times.\nMust be able to handle multiple project workload and periods of high stress, especially during times of peak business demand.\nMust be hands-on and able to climb ladders and roofs, crawl in tight spaces, etc. as needed to perform investigations.\nWill work projects that are assigned to them unless sufficient hazards are identified utilizing National Fire Experts' Safety Protocol guidelines and JSA’s. \nMeet all standards for pre-employment physical examination. \nExcellent written and verbal communication skills.\nMust be team-oriented and service-oriented.\nMust have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record in accordance with the firm’s guidelines. \nMust have superior customer service skills. \nMust always conduct business in an honest and ethical fashion.\nExperience with writing detailed investigation reports is highly preferred.\nMust have excellent overall computer skills.\nMust meet or exceed company aptitude standards regarding computer and technical proficiency.\nMust have the ability to work efficiently with little or no supervision.\nMust be willing to travel and/or work a flexible schedule during periods of peak demand.\nMust have the willingness to work remotely and from home office.\nMust have employee-provided, high-speed internet that is reliable and accessible at remote office\nPhysical Requirements:\nFrequently required to stand on one’s feet for prolonged periods of time.\nFrequently required to lift and/or move objects weighing up to 100 lbs.\nFrequently required to climb onto roofs, ascend/descend ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, etc. \nFrequently required to balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb, and crawl.\nFrequently required to reach with hands and arms.\nFrequently required to spend extended periods of time operating a motor vehicle.\nFrequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel. \nTo learn more about us visit https://nationalfireexperts.com/.\nNational Fire Experts are committed to creating a diverse environment and is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
