You'llplay a vital role in ensuring the accuracy of inventory accounting, supporting financial reporting, and helping the team meet both financial and regulatory requirements.\nWhat you'llbe doing\nReporting to the Financial Controller, you'llbe responsible forthe accounting and control of inventory across a wide range of categories, including car parts, merchandise, raw materials, consumablesand tooling.\nKey responsibilities include:\nManaging inventory-related journal entries and ensuring inventory movements are accurately recognised.\n\nMaintaining robust records and audit trailsfor all inventory transactions.\n\nOverseeing the works order ending process and collaborating with operational teams to resolve outstanding issues.\n\nSupporting monthly and annual stock counts, investigating discrepancies and accounting for adjustments and write-offs.\n\nMonitoring inventory activities to ensure compliance with accounting policies and internal controls.\n\nAnalysing inventory variances against budgets and forecasts and providing insightful commentary to stakeholders.\n\nSupporting the continuous improvement of inventory reporting, processesand controls.\n\nWorking closely with the wider business to ensure accurateactivity-based reporting and cost allocation.\n\nDeveloping an understanding of FIA Financial Regulations to support accurateCost Cap reporting requirements.\n\nWhat we'relooking for\nWe'reseeking a finance professional who combines technical expertisewith strong business partnering skills.\nYou'llideally have:\nA professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).\n\nAt least one year of inventory accounting experience, ideally within a manufacturing environment.\n\nStrong knowledge of inventory accounting principles, stock control processesand standard costing.\n\nAdvanced Excel skills and strong reporting capabilities.\n\nExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills.\n\nThe ability to build effective relationships and influence stakeholders across multiple functions.\n\nAbout you\nYou'llthrive in this role if you:\nTake ownership and accountability for your work.\n\nHave exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.\n\nCan clearly communicate complex financial concepts to non-finance audiences.\n\nRemain composed and effective in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.\n\nProactively identifyand solve problems.\n\nEnjoy collaborating across teams to achieve shared goals.\n\nWhy join us?\nYou’llbe part of a collaborative, high-performance Finance team with real exposure to decision-makingat the heart of the business.
