We are built on collaboration and mutual support, fostering a vibrant, inclusive culture where your ideas and contributions are valued.\nThe role of our Lead Mechanical Design Engineers:\nReporting to the Head of Mechanical, you will lead your team both technically and managerially, taking ownership of performance delivery to the car year-on-year, using engineering excellence. You will also support your team to grow and develop, ensuring that their competencies and capabilities align with business goals and expectations.\nYour challenge:\nWork with the Head of Section and other Heads of Department to determine technical requirements.\nTake ownership of Detailed Design Specifications and Project plans.\nCarry-out conceptual work, defining the key project parameters based on external input, your own simulation outcomes and 3D modelling.\nLead a group of engineers to deliver on schedule, on budget, and within constraints, escalating technical or resource conflicts that threaten agreed targets.\nApprove the work of reports as a fundamental part of the design process.\nWho we want:\nWe are looking to enhance our talented team with someone who has previous experience within a similar senior role, ideally within F1 or another high-level motorsport. You should be educated to degree level or equivalent within Engineering and have a good base knowledge of manufacturing techniques and latest materials technology. It would be ideal if you had previous CAD experience with Catia V5/3DX, but we will support with training if NX or similar is your expertise.\nWe need someone who is self-motivated, capable of working with minimal supervision, and has a hands-on approach to deliver high-quality designs to set deadlines. Great collaborative skills and attention to detail are essential.\nThis role is pivotal within our Mechanical Design leadership.
