We believe that recent conflicts have shown the malicious and disruptive potential of drones in both civilian and defense scenarios. In addition, we are convinced that the next step in counter-drone is air-to-air. We want to ensure that all governments and institutions that believe in personal freedom and the rule of law have cutting edge solutions to protect against this rising threat.\nWe offer a work environment that is inclusive and open, with a flat hierarchy, and a purpose-driven team. We want to reinforce a culture where great ideas can flourish, and great people collaborate.\nWe are seeking a hands-on and motivated Flight Test Engineer to support unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) flight testing in support of our Counter-UAS systems. You will be at the front lines of system validation - working closely with hardware, software, and mission teams to plan, execute, and evaluate test flights of drone systems and their intercept capabilities.\nHow you will make an impact:\nDevelop, plan, conduct and report on comprehensive flight test campaigns for UAV and counter-UAS systems, from concept validation through operational evaluation.\nDefine test objectives, methodologies, procedures, and success criteria to verify system performance, reliability, and safety.\nAnalyze flight test data to assess performance, identify root causes of anomalies, and drive corrective actions in collaboration with engineering teams.\nProduce clear test documentation, maintaining configuration control and traceability throughout the test campaign.\nEnsure compliance with applicable aviation regulations, safety standards, and company flight test processes.\nSupport operational evaluation, product acceptance testing and customer demonstrations.\nOccasionally travel to remote test ranges as required.\nWhat you need to be successful:\nExperience in flight test engineering, flight operations, systems validation, or verification and testing of UAV, aerospace, robotics, or autonomous systems.\nDemonstrated experience designing and executing structured test programs and translating requirements into test procedures and acceptance criteria.\nStrong understanding of flight control systems, avionics, autonomy, navigation, and vehicle performance evaluation.\nExperience analyzing flight data, telemetry, and test results using engineering tools and methodologies.\nWorking knowledge of UAV integration, including sensors, payloads, communications systems, and mission equipment.\nFamiliarity with risk management, flight safety processes, and aviation regulatory frameworks.\nAbility to work effectively in hands-on field environments while maintaining engineering rigor and attention to detail.\nExcellent technical communication and reporting skills.\nPreferred Qualifications\nEASA remote pilot competency certificate or equivalent drone operations qualification.\nExperience with RF communications, telemetry systems, electronic warfare, counter-UAS technologies, or related mission systems.\nExperience supporting government or defense programs.\nMilitary service or operational military experience.\nAt Alpine Eagle, we are committed to diversity and equal opportunity. We welcome applications from all individuals regardless of ethnic origin, gender, religion, disability, age, or sexual identity.","description_format":"text","description_chars":3502,"description_truncated":false,"requirements":{"experience_years_min":null,"management_years_min":null,"team_size_min":null,"manages_managers":false,"education":null,"security_clearance":false,"languages":[]},"benefits":[],"hiring_locations":[],"hiring_excludes":[],"relocation_offered":false,"industries":["Air Defense","Defense Manufacturing"],"lifecycle":[{"event":"open","at":"2026-09-11T15:21:31Z"}],"visa":[],"liveness":{"score":8,"band":"cold","label":"Long shot","p_open":1,"p_active":0.282,"p_room":0.28,"age_days":543,"expected_fill_days":224,"reasons":["conf:1","win:tail","crowd:"],"computed_at":"2026-11-03T05:54:40Z"},"pay":null,"html_url":"https://alion.io/job/alpineeagle-flight-test-engineer-drones-mfd","json_url":"https://alion.io/job/alpineeagle-flight-test-engineer-drones-mfd.json","meta":{"generated_at":"2026-11-04T00:21:38Z","cache_seconds":300,"methodology":"https://alion.io/methodology","terms":"https://alion.io/terms","contact":"https://alion.io/contact","api":"https://alion.io/developers","about":"Alion is a live layer of people, companies and AI agents: who they are, whether they are real and active right now, what they do and how to work with them, readable by people and by agents and paid per call.","catalog":"https://alion.io/catalog.json","usage":{"tier":"crawler_verified","counted_by":"address","units_charged":1,"used_today":450,"day_limit":null,"remaining_today":null,"minute_limit":300,"resets_at":"2026-11-05T00:00:00Z"}},"offers":[{"id":"company.slices","title":"One company in depth, by slice","status":"live","price":{"credits":0.02,"usd":0.002,"plus_per_slice":{"credits":0.05,"usd":0.005}},"unit":"per company, plus each slice with data","note":"the employer in depth","call":{"mcp_tool":"get_company","arguments":{"id":669070},"rest":"https://alion.io/mcp/rest/get_company?id=669070"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=company.slices&for=job%2Falpineeagle-flight-test-engineer-drones-mfd"},{"id":"market.stats","title":"A market slice: pay, demand and time to fill","status":"live","price":{"credits":1,"usd":0.1},"unit":"per slice","note":"pay, demand and time to fill for this role and place","call":{"mcp_tool":"market_stats"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=market.stats&for=job%2Falpineeagle-flight-test-engineer-drones-mfd"},{"id":"job.search","title":"Open jobs by role, technology, place, pay and visa","status":"live","price":{"credits":0.02,"usd":0.002},"unit":"per posting in a list","note":"similar open postings","call":{"mcp_tool":"search_jobs"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=job.search&for=job%2Falpineeagle-flight-test-engineer-drones-mfd"},{"id":"company.verify","title":"Is this company real and active right now","status":"pilot","price":null,"unit":"per company","request":{"url":"https://alion.io/catalog/request","method":"POST","body":"{\"offer\": \"company.verify\", \"for\": \"job/alpineeagle-flight-test-engineer-drones-mfd\", \"note\": \"what you need it for\"}"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=company.verify&for=job%2Falpineeagle-flight-test-engineer-drones-mfd"}],"agent":{"mcp":"https://alion.io/mcp/jobs","mcp_open":"https://alion.io/mcp/open","next":[{"tool":"get_job","arguments":{"id":749584}},{"tool":"search_jobs","arguments":{"company":"alpineeagle.com","detail":"compact"}},{"tool":"match_people","arguments":{"job_id":749584},"note":"people open to offers who fit this vacancy"}],"note":"The same data through MCP tools: https://alion.io/mcp/open needs no sign-in (compact searches, postings, people); https://alion.io/mcp with an Alion account has everything.
