We believe that recent conflicts have shown the malicious and disruptive potential of drones in both civilian and defense scenarios. In addition, we are convinced that the next step in counter-drone is air-to-air. We want to ensure that all governments and institutions that believe in personal freedom and the rule of law have cutting edge solutions to protect against this rising threat.\nWe offer a work environment that is inclusive and open, with a flat hierarchy, and a purpose-driven team. We want to reinforce a culture where great ideas can flourish, and great people collaborate.\nWe are seeking a hands-on and motivated Flight Test Pilot to support unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) flight testing in support of our Counter-UAS systems. You will be at the front lines of system validation - working closely with hardware, software, and mission teams to plan, execute, and evaluate test flights of drone systems and their intercept capabilities.\nHow you will make an impact:\nExecute UAV flight test missions in accordance with approved test plans, procedures, and safety requirements.\nSafely operate multicopter and fixed-wing UAVs across manual, assisted, and autonomous flight modes.\nWork closely with Flight Test Engineers and System Matter Experts during test preparation, mission execution, and post-flight debriefs.\nPerform pre-flight inspections, system checks, and flight readiness reviews.\nMonitor aircraft behaviour during testing and provide clear, timely feedback on vehicle performance and anomalies.\nAnalyze flight test data to assess performance, identify root causes of anomalies, and drive corrective actions in collaboration with engineering teams.\nSupport operational evaluation, product acceptance testing and customer demonstrations.\nOccasionally travel to remote test ranges as required.\nWhat you need to be successful:\nProven experience piloting both multicopter and fixed-wing UAVs.\nExceptional manual flying skills beyond highly automated commercial drone platforms.\nStrong discipline in following flight procedures, test cards, and briefing instructions.\nDemonstrated ability to make sound decisions under pressure and maintain composure during complex flight test scenarios.\nSolid understanding of UAV flight operations, airspace, and flight safety principles.\nStrong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary test team.\nHigh level of professionalism, situational awareness, and attention to detail.\nPreferred Qualifications\nEASA remote pilot competency certificate or equivalent drone operations qualification.\nExperience with PX4, ArduPilot, or similar flight control systems.\nPrevious experience supporting UAV development or flight test programs.\nExperience with VTOL and high-performance fixed-wing platforms.\nAt Alpine Eagle, we are committed to diversity and equal opportunity. We welcome applications from all individuals regardless of ethnic origin, gender, religion, disability, age, or sexual identity.","description_format":"text","description_chars":3204,"description_truncated":false,"requirements":{"experience_years_min":null,"management_years_min":null,"team_size_min":null,"manages_managers":false,"education":null,"security_clearance":false,"languages":[]},"benefits":[],"hiring_locations":[],"hiring_excludes":[],"relocation_offered":false,"industries":["Air Defense","Defense Manufacturing"],"lifecycle":[{"event":"open","at":"2026-09-11T15:21:31Z"}],"visa":[],"liveness":{"score":59,"band":"ok","label":"Likely open","p_open":1,"p_active":0.819,"p_room":0.72,"age_days":96,"expected_fill_days":224,"reasons":["conf:3","win:mid","crowd:"],"computed_at":"2026-11-01T06:10:25Z"},"pay":null,"html_url":"https://alion.io/job/alpineeagle-flight-test-pilot-drones-mfd","json_url":"https://alion.io/job/alpineeagle-flight-test-pilot-drones-mfd.json","meta":{"generated_at":"2026-11-01T10:00:29Z","cache_seconds":300,"methodology":"https://alion.io/methodology","terms":"https://alion.io/terms","contact":"https://alion.io/contact","api":"https://alion.io/developers","about":"Alion is a live layer of people, companies and AI agents: who they are, whether they are real and active right now, what they do and how to work with them, readable by people and by agents and paid per call.","catalog":"https://alion.io/catalog.json","usage":{"tier":"crawler_verified","counted_by":"address","units_charged":1,"used_today":15346,"day_limit":null,"remaining_today":null,"minute_limit":300,"resets_at":"2026-11-02T00:00:00Z"}},"offers":[{"id":"company.slices","title":"One company in depth, by slice","status":"live","price":{"credits":0.02,"usd":0.002,"plus_per_slice":{"credits":0.05,"usd":0.005}},"unit":"per company, plus each slice with data","note":"the employer in depth","call":{"mcp_tool":"get_company","arguments":{"id":669070},"rest":"https://alion.io/mcp/rest/get_company?id=669070"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=company.slices&for=job%2Falpineeagle-flight-test-pilot-drones-mfd"},{"id":"market.stats","title":"A market slice: pay, demand and time to fill","status":"live","price":{"credits":1,"usd":0.1},"unit":"per slice","note":"pay, demand and time to fill for this role and place","call":{"mcp_tool":"market_stats"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=market.stats&for=job%2Falpineeagle-flight-test-pilot-drones-mfd"},{"id":"job.search","title":"Open jobs by role, technology, place, pay and visa","status":"live","price":{"credits":0.02,"usd":0.002},"unit":"per posting in a list","note":"similar open postings","call":{"mcp_tool":"search_jobs"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=job.search&for=job%2Falpineeagle-flight-test-pilot-drones-mfd"},{"id":"company.verify","title":"Is this company real and active right now","status":"pilot","price":null,"unit":"per company","request":{"url":"https://alion.io/catalog/request","method":"POST","body":"{\"offer\": \"company.verify\", \"for\": \"job/alpineeagle-flight-test-pilot-drones-mfd\", \"note\": \"what you need it for\"}"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=company.verify&for=job%2Falpineeagle-flight-test-pilot-drones-mfd"}],"agent":{"mcp":"https://alion.io/mcp/jobs","mcp_open":"https://alion.io/mcp/open","next":[{"tool":"get_job","arguments":{"id":749580}},{"tool":"search_jobs","arguments":{"company":"alpineeagle.com","detail":"compact"}},{"tool":"match_people","arguments":{"job_id":749580},"note":"people open to offers who fit this vacancy"}],"note":"The same data through MCP tools: https://alion.io/mcp/open needs no sign-in (compact searches, postings, people); https://alion.io/mcp with an Alion account has everything.
