Our global team turns up each day with passion and commitment to do amazing things, always challenging our thinking to find ways to solve some of the world’s most complex problems for a safer, healthier world.\nAbout the role:\nThe primary purpose of this position is to aliquot samples in accordance with ALS Production Management Platform in the Metals Department.\nAbout you:\nWill be responsible for transporting samples to appropriate storage locations and disposing of expired samples. \nWill follow appropriate methodologies and SOPs as required.\nComplete and interpret Chain of Custodies (COCs).\nPerform analytical tests including turbidity and pH verification.\nAliquot samples for various methodologies. \nSubcontract samples to approved laboratories for analysis.\nDocument activities and report results in a concise and accurate manner.\nInterpret samples and data.\nEnsure compliance with assigned SOP’s, QA manual and ALS Client Service Manual.\nProfessional appearance and conduct to both ALS staff and clients.\nRecognize and maintain safe working conditions. Follow PPE policies. Handle hazardous material appropriately and safely.\nEnsure compliance with assigned SOP’s, QA manual and HSE policies.\nMaintain a clean, orderly work environment.\nPerform other duties as assigned and directed.\nRequired Qualification:\nAHigh school diploma or GED required.\nPhysical Demands:\nThe ability to stand for 100% of an 8-hour shift. \nAble to speak and hear clearly while communicating with staff, management and clients.\nAble to lift up to 50 lbs. \nDexterity in hands and fingers to operate equipment and handle glassware.\nMust have average vision and able to see to read reports and operate equipment. \nHearing and speech to communicate in person and over the telephone.\nAble to perform repetitive motion actions.\nAbility to work overtime when needed.\nWorking at ALS:\nOur people are our most valuable asset and drive our success at ALS.
