You must also be willing to travel to support teams at Boggabri and Maules Creek Coal\nKey Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):\nConducting routine coal sampling and testing\nAssisting with sample preparation and analysis\nMaintaining equipment and adhering to safety protocols\nCollaborating with team members across different sites as required\nDay to Day\nCollection of a range of production and train samples \nPerforming a range of preparation and analytical tests including Ash, Moisture and Total Sulphur \nEnsuring that all work is carried out in a safe and efficient manner and to agreed standard operating instructions \nChecking and validating all results to ensure that they are within repeatability tolerances \nMaintaining laboratory equipment: Ovens/Furnaces, Leco/Sulfur \nOptimising turnaround time for samples whilst ensuring the highest quality of results is achieved and maintained \nEnsuring Quality Work Instructions and Standard Operating Procedures are followed \nEnsuring a high standard of housekeeping and presentation of all equipment and work areas \nSkills/Qualifications:\nPrevious experience in a Laboratory or mine setting would be advantageous\nCan do attitude\nFlexible and adaptable to work extra shifts\nA strong focus on safety & Quality \nAbility work alone and un-supervised at times. \nDriver's License\nGood Organisation and Communication Skills \nWorking at ALS\nThe ALS team is a diverse and dedicated community united by our passion to make a difference in the world.\nOur values are important to us, and shape how we work, how we treat each other and how we recognise excellence.\nAt ALS, you’ll be supported to develop new skills and reach your full potential.
