The role will include duties within the Physical Testing and Analytical Laboratory.\nReporting to the Analytical Laboratory Manager, you will be involved in aspects of Coal Testing and Analysis, Quality, Turnaround Time, Client Service and Productivity.\nIf you have a drive to produce quality results and a strong team spirit, we would like to hear from you.\nKey Responsibilities\nEnsuring that all work is carried out in a safe and efficient manner and to agreed standard operating instructions\nChecking and validating all results to ensure that they are within repeatability tolerances\nMaintaining laboratory equipment: Preparation Equipment, Ovens/Furnaces, Balances\nOptimising turnaround time for samples whilst ensuring the highest quality of results is achieved and maintained\nEnsuring Quality Work Instructions and Standard Operating Procedures are followed\nEnsuring a high standard of housekeeping and presentation of all equipment and work areas\nSkills/Qualifications\nFull training will be provided to the successful candidates. However, to be considered for this position you will have:\nA strong focus on safety, quality and teamwork\nAttention to detail\nAbility to multi-task and meet tight deadlines\nAbility to work 12- hour shifts, rotating between day and night shift\nGood Organisation and Communication Skills\nReliable and Trustworthy\nPrevious industry experience would be an advantage\nValid Drivers’ License\n12-hour shifts will be required\nAs part of the selection process, a pre-employment medical exam is required; including a drug and alcohol assessment.
