Reporting to ANZ Finance Leadership based in Australia, you will oversee accurate financial processing, reporting, budgeting and forecasting while providing trusted advice to the business. You will lead and support two finance team members and work closely with stakeholders across all sections and sites, as well as external clients and suppliers.\nThe day to day\nProcess, record and distribute financial transactions accurately and on time.\nPrepare and review account reconciliations.\nVerify and process intra-company transactions.\nMonitor account balances and investigate variances.\nIdentify and resolve accounting errors.\nPrepare reports to support management decision-making.\nAssist with budgets, forecasts and financial analysis.\nProvide guidance on accounting treatments and transactions.\nRespond to queries from internal stakeholders, clients and suppliers.\nEnsure finance processes comply with company policies and procedures.\nThe essentials\nFormal qualification in Accounting, Finance or Commerce.\nCA, CPA or equivalent qualification preferred.\nAt least five years’ finance or accounting experience.\nMinimum 12 months’ supervisory or team leadership experience.\nAbility to work independently with limited guidance.\nStrong written and verbal communication skills.\nExcellent problem-solving and analytical skills.\nHigh level of accuracy and attention to detail.\nAbility to build effective stakeholder relationships.\nUnderstanding of quality, compliance and HSE responsibilities.\nWorking at ALS\nThe ALS team is a diverse and dedicated community united by our passion to make a difference in the world.\nOur values are important to us, and shape how we work, how we treat each other and how we recognise excellence.\nAt ALS, you’ll be supported to develop new skills and reach your full potential.
