It plays a key role in ensuring that ALS continues to provide superior quality analytical services to our clients.\nSpecific Responsibilities:\nPerform vertical audits on analyses conducted at global laboratories to ensure compliance with standard operating procedures, including reporting findings.\nMonitor and report on global quality control performance indicators (KQIs).\nOrganize, evaluate, and report on various round robin programs for Geochemistry.\nCollaborate with and assist regional quality and laboratory staff in identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions related to findings from vertical audits, round robins, and KQIs.\nPerform on-site quality audits at global locations in a Lead Auditor role, report on results, and assist with the timely resolution of findings.\nResolve client quality inquiries, including conducting internal investigations and corresponding with clients.\nMaintain the Global Quality Helpdesk mailbox, providing assistance to regional laboratories on various topics or delegating inquiries to the appropriate parties.\nProvide training to regional QC groups on topics such as conducting vertical and global audits, as well as technical subjects.\nAssemble information for ALS-client meetings.\nParticipate in and assemble information for appropriate peer groups.\nAdminister quality documentation.\nAssemble information for Quality Alerts.\nReview method validations for acceptance.\nUse appropriate methods in accordance with established procedures and schedules while ensuring analytical quality.\nObserve established safety regulations and comply with all ALS health and safety policies and procedures.\nPerform other duties as assigned.\nRequired Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:\nAbility to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.\nExcellent computer skills, including proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, and PowerPoint.\nCritical thinking, strong problem-solving, and research skills.\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills.\nStrong clerical accuracy and attention to detail.\nDemonstrated judgment and creativity.\nAbility to effectively manage escalations and time-sensitive issues.\nMultilingualism is considered an asset.\nRequired Qualifications:\nRecognized B.Sc. or Technical Dip\nloma in Chemistry or a related field.\nMinimum of one year of experience with modern analytical techniques and instrumentation (e.g., AAS, ICP, ICP-MS) and/or Fire Assay and Finish.\nPhysical Demands:\nManual dexterity to perform repetitive tasks, such as keyboarding.\nAbility to sit at a desk and perform general office work, including periodic sedentary responsibilities.\nAbility to communicate via telephone and email without assistance.\nAbility and willingness to travel for business purposes as required by the role.\nOur Benefits Include:\nAn estimated hourly pay of $32.63 CAD at the time of posting.
