Experience in a high-throughput lab environment is desired.\nThis is a full-time position - Monday to Friday 09:00am - 5:00pm\nThe day-to-day:\nProcessing and analysing samples within holding times, ensuring a high-quality standard is maintained.\n\nOrganising designated tasks to maximise daily efficiencies.\n\nRaising anomalies in results, sample type, sample matrix interference section Team Leader or Supervisor for investigation.\n\nPerforming housekeeping duties as required.\n\nCalibrating equipment as required by the Section Team Leader and/or the QC Coordinator.\n\nPerforming calculations as required when conducting analytical preparations.\n\nControlling consumable stock required for the tasks performed.\n\nCompleting proficiency activities as required at applicable sites.\n\nOther duties, as requested, relating to this position.\n\nThe Essentials:\nThe successful candidate will bring:\nMinimum of a laboratory certificate or qualification in science, preferably chemistry\n\n1 year experience in a commercial, client-focused chemistry laboratory\n\nAn understanding of safety precautions necessary while working with samples of unknown hazard\n\nGood chemical knowledge\n\nExcellent organisational skills\n\nStrong numerical skills\n\nStrong internal customer focus\n\nTeam orientated\n\nStrong focus on quality\n\nAttention to detail\n\nWorking at ALS\nThe ALS team is a diverse and dedicated community united by our passion to make a difference in the world.\nOur values are important to us, and shape how we work, how we treat each other and how we recognise excellence.\nAt ALS, you’ll be supported to develop new skills and reach your full potential.
