Ltd., Bangalore\nReporting To: Team Leader / Section in charge - Residue Laboratory\nJob Purpose\nTo perform sample preparation, analysis, data review, and documentation for pesticide residues, , contaminants, and related parameters using LC-MS/MS, GC-MS/MS, GC-MS, and other analytical techniques in compliance with ALS quality requirements, ISO/IEC 17025 standards, and applicable regulatory requirements.\nKey Responsibilities\nPerform sample receipt verification, preparation, extraction, and clean-up of food, feed, environmental, and related matrices for residue analysis.\nConduct analysis of pesticide residues, contaminants, and other trace-level analytes using LC-MS/MS, GC-MS/MS, GC-MS, and associated analytical instruments.\nOperate, maintain, and perform routine performance checks and calibration of laboratory equipment.\nReview chromatograms, analytical data, and QC results to ensure compliance with method acceptance criteria.\nPrepare worksheets, record test data, and maintain laboratory documentation in accordance with ISO/IEC 17025 and ALS quality procedures.\nFollow approved test methods, SOPs, work instructions, and safety procedures.\nEnsure completion of analysis within agreed turnaround times while maintaining data quality and integrity.\nParticipate in method validation, method verification, proficiency testing, and quality control programs as assigned.\nReport instrument issues, deviations, out-of-specification results, and quality concerns to the Team Leader.\nMaintain laboratory housekeeping, chemical inventories, and consumable stocks.\nSupport internal audits, external audits, accreditation assessments, and customer audits.\nAdhere to laboratory safety, health, environmental, and ALS compliance requirements.\nQualification\nB.Sc. / M.Sc. in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Food Technology, Biotechnology, Microbiology, or related science discipline.\nExperience\n0-1 years of experience in analytical testing laboratories.\nExperience in residue analysis, LC-MS/MS, GC-MS/MS, or food testing laboratories will be preferred.\nWorking at ALS\nThe ALS team is a diverse and dedicated community united by our passion to make a difference in the world.\nOur values are important to us, and shape how we work, how we treat each other and how we recognise excellence.\nAt ALS, you’ll be supported to develop new skills and reach your full potential.
