Ltd.\nReports To: Manager\nJob Purpose\nTo perform sample preparation, analysis, calculations, result verification, and documentation for proximate and nutritional parameters in food, feed, and related matrices, ensuring compliance with ALS quality systems, ISO/IEC 17025 requirements, and applicable regulatory standards.\nKey Responsibilities\nPerform sample receipt, preparation, homogenization, and analysis as per approved test methods and SOPs.\nConduct testing for proximate parameters including Moisture, Ash, Protein, Fat, Crude Fibre, Dietary Fibre, Carbohydrates (by calculation), Energy, Salt, and related nutritional analyses.\nOperate and maintain laboratory equipment such as Moisture Analyzers, Ovens, Muffle Furnaces, Kjeldahl Systems, Dumas Protein Analyzers, Soxhlet/Fat Extraction Systems, Fiber Analyzers, Balances, and other laboratory instruments.\nCarry out routine calibration, performance verification, and basic troubleshooting of laboratory equipment.\nReview analytical data, quality control results, and calculations to ensure compliance with method acceptance criteria.\nMaintain accurate records of sample preparation, test results, calculations, worksheets, and laboratory documentation.\nEnsure compliance with laboratory quality requirements, ISO/IEC 17025 standards, and ALS procedures.\nMeet assigned sample throughput and turnaround time (TAT) requirements.\nParticipate in method validation, verification, proficiency testing, and internal quality control programs.\nMaintain laboratory housekeeping, chemical inventory, reference materials, and consumables.\nFollow all laboratory safety, health, environmental, and compliance requirements.\nEducation & Qualification\nB.Sc. / M.Sc. in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Food Science, Biotechnology, Microbiology, Agriculture, or related scientific discipline.\nExperience\n0-1 years of experience in a NABL/ISO 17025 accredited testing laboratory.\nFreshers with relevant academic projects, internship experience, or laboratory exposure in food and nutritional analysis may also be considered.\nWorking at ALS\nThe ALS team is a diverse and dedicated community united by our passion to make a difference in the world.\nOur values are important to us, and shape how we work, how we treat each other and how we recognise excellence.\nAt ALS, you’ll be supported to develop new skills and reach your full potential.
