laboratoire\nAgir comme personne-ressource pour les méthodes analytiques, l'instrumentation et la qualité des données.\nEffectuer des analyses avancées conformément aux procédures établies et aux exigences AQ/CQ.\nPlanifier et coordonner les activités analytiques et les charges de travail du département.\nParticiper activement aux initiatives d'amélioration continue visant la qualité, connexe.\nMinimum de cinq années d'expérience dans un laboratoire analytique.\nExcellentes compétences en communication écrite et orale en français et en anglais.\nSolides compétences en leadership, Analyst, you will serve as a technical expert within the laboratory, supporting analytical operations, method development, instrumentation, quality systems, and staff development.\nYou will play a key role in maintaining data quality, optimizing laboratory performance, mentoring team members, and ensuring the reliable operation of complex analytical instrumentation while meeting quality and turnaround time objectives.\nThis position is ideal for a laboratory professional who enjoys solving technical challenges, driving continuous improvement, and contributing to a high-performing team environment.\nKey Responsibilities\nTechnical Leadership & Laboratory Operations\nServe as a key technical resource for analytical methodologies, instrumentation, and data quality.\nPerform advanced laboratory analyses while ensuring adherence to established procedures, quality standards, and turnaround times.\nPlan and coordinate analytical workloads and production activities.\nSupport continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality, efficiency, safety, and productivity.\nMentor and train laboratory staff on analytical techniques and best practices.\nInstrumentation & Method Development\nOperate advanced analytical instrumentation in accordance with SOPs and QA/QC requirements.\nPerform instrument setup, calibration, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs.\nSupport instrument and method development, validation, and optimization activities.\nCoordinate external service providers for instrument maintenance and repairs.\nManage equipment documentation, maintenance records, and associated technical files.\nQuality & Technical Support\nEnsure compliance with ALS quality systems and ISO-based requirements.\nReview analytical data and investigate quality issues.\nSupport corrective actions, rechecks, audits, and quality improvement initiatives.\nAssist in developing and revising Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).\nMonitor method performance and contribute to measurement uncertainty assessments and revalidation activities.\nData Management & Documentation\nProcess analytical data, calculations, data review, and reporting activities.\nMaintain accurate technical records and laboratory documentation.\nPrepare reagents, standards, and reference materials required for laboratory operations.\nDeliver accurate, high-quality results within established turnaround times.\nQualifications\nRequired\nBachelor's degree in Chemistry or a related scientific discipline.\nMinimum five years of experience in an analytical laboratory environment.\nStrong French and English communication skills (spoken and written).\nDemonstrated leadership, mentoring, and problem-solving capabilities.\nExperience working with laboratory information management systems (LIMS).\nPreferred\nPrevious experience in an environmental laboratory.\nMinimum three years of experience using advanced analytical instrumentation such as: ICP-MS Ion Chromatography (IC) GC-MS Flow Injection Analysis (FIA) Automated Colorimetric Analyzers\nExperience working within ISO/IEC 17025 quality systems.\nPhysical Requirements\nAbility to lift and carry up
