To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.\nAbout you:\nFollow appropriate methodologies and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as required.\nDocument activities and report results in a concise and accurate manner.\nOperate and maintain various laboratory instruments and equipment.\nPrepare, maintain, and repair sample media used in air testing processes.\nSupport laboratory operations while adhering to established quality standards and procedures.\nMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.\nRecognize and maintain safe working conditions and use appropriate safety equipment at all times.\nCollaborate effectively with laboratory staff and management.\nPerform other duties as assigned.\nRequired Qualifications:\nHigh School Diploma required.\nLab experience preferred\nStrong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.\nStrong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.\nDetail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and quality.\nEffective verbal and written communication skills in English with the ability to communicate professionally with staff and management.\nStrong teamwork and problem-solving skills.\nPrevious laboratory experience is highly desirable.\nAbility to develop an understanding of quality control requirements and laboratory quality systems.\nPhysical Demands:\nAble to speak and hear clearly while communicating with staff, management, and clients.\nAble to sit and/or stand for up to 100% of an 8-hour workday.\nAble to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.\nDexterity in hands and fingers to operate computers, laboratory instruments, and other equipment.\nMust have adequate vision to read reports, perform laboratory tasks, and operate equipment safely.\nAbility to distinguish differences in color and shade.\nAbility to perform repetitive motion activities.\nMust have average vision and able to see to read reports and operate equipment;\nHearing and speech to communicate in person and over the telephone.\nWorking at ALS:\nOur people are our most valuable asset and drive our success at ALS.
