If you enjoy working in a fast-paced laboratory environment and take pride in delivering accurate results, we'd love to hear from you.\nAbout the Role\nAs a Laboratory Technician, you will support the delivery of high-quality testing services, sample prep, data recording, and equipment maintenance in accordance with approved methods, safety requirements and quality standards.\nThe role supports accurate, timely, and reliable laboratory results while maintaining a clean, organized, and compliant work environment.\nKey Responsibilities\nOrganise daily tasks to maximise efficiency and meet turnaround times.\nIdentify and report anomalies in sample results, behaviour or sample types to the Supervisor.\nCalibrate equipment as required and ensure only verified equipment is used.\nMaintain housekeeping standards within the laboratory.\nManage consumable stock required for assigned tasks.\nAssist with additional laboratory duties as required.\nAbout You\nTo be successful in this role, you will have:\nA minimum of one year's laboratory experience (degree or diploma qualifications preferred).\nSound chemical knowledge and strong analytical skills.\nExcellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.\nThe ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.\nStrong planning, organisational, and problem-solving abilities.\nEffective communication and interpersonal skills.\nA customer-focused approach and commitment to workplace safety.\nThe ability to successfully complete required technical assessments.\nWorking at ALS\nThe ALS team is a diverse and dedicated community united by our passion to make a difference in the world.\nOur values are important to us, and shape how we work, how we treat each other and how we recognise excellence.\nAt ALS, you’ll be supported to develop new skills and reach your full potential.
