Assistance with equipment maintenance and adherence to all written procedures will also be required.\nResponsibilities:\nPerform all duties associated with the preparation of samples for analysis as assigned.\nPerform gravimetric determinations.\nMeeting QA requirements.\nDocument activities and report results in a concise and accurate manner.\nPerform all work within established quality control parameters and within specified turnaround times.\nCollaborate with other technicians and analysts.\nIdentify and report quality problems to the supervisor or QA department.\nAssist with preparation of analytical standards, reagents, and solutions.\nMaintain safe working conditions (including proper PPE) and a clean, orderly work area. \nFollow SOP’s and methodologies without deviation.\nStrong commitment to quality and integrity.\nPerform routine equipment maintenance procedures.\nOther duties as assigned.\nAbout you:\nundefined\nA High School diploma is required.\n1+ years of laboratory experience and or an Associate’s Degree is preferred.\nProficient verbal and written communication skills.\nExcellent organizational skills and attention to detail.\nPossess strong computer skills with knowledge in Excel, and Microsoft Word software packages.\nBe proficient in or able to learn the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS).\nInterpersonal and communications skills are strong.\nMust be able to initiate corrective action without prompting and assist co-workers whenever necessary to meet deadlines.\nMust be able to effectively perform duties under pressures arising from large sample volumes and short turn-around times.\nMust be able to work independently with minimal supervision.\nAdheres to safety policies and practices.\nExhibits ALS Core Values of being Honest, Safe, Committed, Curious, Caring, and Resilient.\nWorking conditions\nMust be able to work on computer while sitting for up to 8 hours per day.\nMust be able to stand, bend, push, pull, stoop and crouch up to 50% of the time while performing some duties of this position.\nOvertime and some weekend work will occasionally be required based upon workload.\nWorking at ALS\nOur people are our most valuable asset and drive our success at ALS. \nWe are a diverse community of dedicated professionals united by our passion to make a difference in the world.
