Rosters may be Monday to Friday or Tuesday to Saturday.\nThe Day to Day:\nConduct extraction procedures and tasks per ALS Quality Work Instructions, ensuring QA/QC compliance.\nOrganize tasks for daily efficiency and meet set timelines and standards.\nReport anomalies in results or samples to Supervisor.\nMaintain housekeeping, calibrate equipment, and perform calculations for analyses.\nManage consumable stock and assist with additional duties.\nUse calibrated equipment and follow ALS quality procedures.\nComply with ALS HSE policies, state OHS legislation, and safety manual.\nEnsure lab safety, report compliance issues, and promote safety culture.\nThe Essentials:\nTertiary education (a degree or diploma in science, preferably chemistry).\nGood communication and interpersonal skills.\nHigh level attention to detail.\nGood chemical knowledge.\nAbility to work autonomously or in a team.\nAbility to plan and organise work.\nJudgement and problem-solving skills.\nPositive attitude to safety requirements.\nAppropriate level of aptitude on the tests allocated.\nThis role requires standing/moving around the lab and the ability to lift/ carry up to 15kg.\nWorking at ALS\nThe ALS team is a diverse and dedicated community united by our passion to make a difference in the world.\nOur values are important to us, and shape how we work, how we treat each other and how we recognise excellence.\nAt ALS, you’ll be supported to develop new skills and reach your full potential.
