This role is primarily focused on incoming and outgoing goods to support the success and efficiency of our commercial laboratory.\nThis is a fast-paced and varied role that will see you unpacking and sorting with accuracy.\nReceive clients’ deliveries and confirm samples meet the testing requirements.\nProcess incoming sample deliveries into the laboratory including the sorting and labelling of samples.\nRead and understand client documentation.\nOrganise and follow up of freight pick-ups for internal and interstate samples.\nLiaising with clients (internal and external) regarding sample submissions\nMaintaining filing systems and documentation\nPerform general housekeeping duties.\nMaintaining an excellent standard of occupational health and safety\n The Essentials:\nA positive, responsive customer focus and quality service attitude with a professional attitude. \nSuperior attention to detail and a commitment to complete high-quality work. \nAbility to process multiple concurrent requests efficiently and accurately. \nAn understanding of laboratory safety and chemical hazards. \nExcellent communication, organisational and time management skills. \nAbility to absorb and retain high levels of information. \nAdditionally, the following skills and interests are advantageous and desirable:\nA demonstrated interest in areas such as computer building, circuitry, automation, Excel macros, scripting, or 3D printing\nCoding or programming capability (e.g. VBA, Python, R, SQL or similar)\nExposure to or interest in robotics, AI, process automation or digital optimisation\nWorking at ALS\nThe ALS team is a diverse and dedicated community united by our passion to make a difference in the world.\nOur values are important to us, and shape how we work, how we treat each other and how we recognise excellence.\nAt ALS, you’ll be supported to develop new skills and reach your full potential.
