{"id":821811,"url":"https://alion.io/job/als-warehouse-logistics-officer","title":"Warehouse & Logistics Officer","company":{"id":449653,"name":"ALS","domain":"alsglobal.com","url":"https://alion.io/company/als-4","size_band":"1001-5000","is_staffing_agency":false,"is_intermediary":false,"ats_vendor":"Workday","truth_index":{"grade":"B","score":76,"open_postings":27,"ghost_share":0,"stale_share":0.963,"repost_share":0,"time_to_fill_p50_days":28,"computed_at":"2026-09-24T05:45:00Z"}},"role":"Operations","role_family":"Operations","seniority":null,"employment_type":"full_time","work_mode":"on_site","remote_scope":null,"remote_scope_basis":null,"remote_working_hours":null,"hiring_geo_confidence":"structured","locations":["Stafford, Australia"],"countries":["AU"],"hiring_countries":[],"hiring_countries_total":0,"salary":null,"salary_estimate":{"min_usd":45000,"max_usd":114000,"period":"year","method":"role_country_seniority_unknown","sample_n":15},"experience_years_min":null,"visa_sponsorship":false,"relocation_package":false,"has_equity":false,"technologies":[],"status":"live","first_seen_at":"2026-09-08T00:00:00Z","employer_posted_date":"2026-09-08","last_verified_at":"2026-09-24T12:24:41Z","board_verified":true,"closed_at":null,"days_open":16,"trust":{"level":"ok","repost_count":null,"flags":[],"days_open":16},"description":"At ALS, we encourage you to dream big.\nWhen you join us, you’ll be part of a global team harnessing the power of scientific testing and data-driven insights to build a healthier future.\nAbout the role\nWe are seeking a full time, reliable, safety-focused and detail-oriented Warehouse & Logistics Officer to join our Stafford warehouse team.\nThis is a hands-on and varied role involving warehouse operations, inventory control, kit preparation, domestic freight, pick-pack-dispatch activities, truck and container loading, mechanical handling equipment operation and operational systems administration.\nKey responsibilities:\nWarehouse and Inventory Operations\nAccurate and efficient velocity picking, put-away and stock replenishment activities within required timeframes.\n\nMonitor pick-face stock levels and initiate replenishment activities to prevent delays to picking operations.\n\nInventory transactions, pick confirmations, put-away confirmations and stock movements accurately and on time using company warehouse, ERP and operational systems.\n\nParticipate in scheduled stocktakes and promptly report inventory discrepancies.\n\nSafety, Dangerous Goods and Compliance\nStrong commitment to workplace health and safety across all warehouse activities.\n\nPromptly identify and report hazards, incidents, near misses and unsafe conditions.\n\nMaintain clean, organised and safe work areas.\n\nParticipate in required WHS training and safety initiatives.\n\nEnsure safe work practices are consistently applied when handling stock, operating mechanical handling equipment, loading vehicles and preparing freight.\n\nSustainability and Continuous Improvement\nSupport sustainability initiatives and waste-reduction practices across warehouse operations.\n\nIdentify opportunities to improve safety, efficiency, inventory accuracy and service delivery.\n\nContribute to a culture of continuous improvement within the warehouse team.\n\nAbout You\nTo be successful in this role, you will have:\nA current forklift licence (LF), which is mandatory for this role.\n\nDemonstrated experience operating counterbalance or reach forklifts.\n\nPrevious experience in a warehouse, logistics, distribution, manufacturing or similar operational environment.\n\nExperience with picking, packing, dispatch and stock control processes.\n\nExperience using inventory, ERP and freight carrier systems.\n\nStrong attention to detail and the ability to maintain a high level of accuracy when handling stock, packing orders and entering data.\n\nA sound understanding of safe manual handling, warehouse safety and general WHS requirements.\n\nClear communication skills and the ability to work effectively with team members, supervisors and freight carriers.\n\nA reliable, flexible and team-oriented approach to work.\n\nExperience handling dangerous goods is preferred but not essential.\n\nWorking at ALS\nThe ALS team is a diverse and dedicated community united by our passion to make a difference in the world.\nOur values are important to us, and shape how we work, how we treat each other and how we recognise excellence.\nAt ALS, you’ll be supported to develop new skills and reach your full potential.
