{"id":1538742,"url":"https://alion.io/job/als-warehouse-technician-5","title":"Warehouse Technician","company":{"id":449653,"name":"ALS","domain":"alsglobal.com","url":"https://alion.io/company/als-4","size_band":"201-500","is_staffing_agency":false,"employer_type":"direct","is_intermediary":false,"listed_via":null,"ats_vendor":"Workday","truth_index":{"grade":"B","score":78,"open_postings":38,"ghost_share":0,"stale_share":0.895,"repost_share":0,"time_to_fill_p50_days":28,"computed_at":"2026-10-06T05:45:30Z"}},"role":"Field & Service","role_family":"Field & Service","seniority":null,"employment_type":"full_time","work_mode":"on_site","remote_scope":null,"remote_scope_basis":null,"remote_working_hours":null,"hiring_geo_confidence":"structured","locations":["Winnipeg, Canada"],"countries":["CA"],"hiring_countries":[],"hiring_countries_total":0,"salary":null,"salary_estimate":{"min_usd":25000,"max_usd":51000,"period":"year","method":"role_country_seniority_unknown","sample_n":1446},"experience_years_min":null,"visa_sponsorship":false,"relocation_package":false,"has_equity":false,"technologies":[{"name":"Microsoft Office","optional":false}],"status":"live","first_seen_at":"2026-09-30T19:58:14Z","employer_posted_date":"2026-09-30","last_verified_at":"2026-10-07T00:29:09Z","board_verified":true,"closed_at":null,"days_open":6,"trust":{"level":"ok","repost_count":null,"flags":[],"days_open":6},"description":"At ALS, we encourage you to dream big.\nWhen you join us, you’ll be part of a global team harnessing the power of scientific testing and data-driven insights to build a healthier future.\nAbout the Position\nThe Warehouse Technician 2 will support the warehouse functions within the laboratory.\nSpecific Responsibilities\nPrepare packaging for outgoing shipments of pulp samples and rejects;\n\nSorting, locating and retrieving sample pulp and rejects from the warehouse facility using forklift;\n\nAccurate data entry and inventory control of sample rejects, pulps, scan pallets and bins;\n\nAssist with inventory control, pulp and reject storage, disposal and return to clients in a timely manner;\n\nEnsure sample records and supplies are complete and accurate;\n\nPrimary driver for local deliveries and pick-ups;\n\nMaintains vehicle inspection logs under minimal supervision;\n\nProvide inventory count to invoice clients for their pulp and reject storage;\n\nProvides assistance to clients and other ALS Branches when necessary;\n\nGeneral shipping, receiving and supplies warehousing functions as needed;\n\nUse correct methods in accordance with the established procedures and schedules while ensuring analytical quality;\n\nObserve established safety regulations and comply with all ALS health and safety policies and procedures;\n\nOther duties as assigned by manager.\n\nRequired Knowledge, Skills & Abilities\nAbility to perform repetitive tasks accurately and thoroughly;\n\nAbility to work within a fast-paced, high volume environment;\n\nBasic understanding of computer applications (Microsoft Office Suite);\n\nGood English communication skills both written and verbal and ability to read English;\n\nAbility to work within a team environment;\n\nStrong organizational skills and attention to detail.\n\nRequired Qualifications\nGrade 12 diploma preferred;\n\nValid Provincial Class 5 driver’s license with clean driving history (abstract required);\n\nForklift license and experience operating a forklift an asset (on site certification will be required);\n\nWarehouse and Shipping & Receiving experience.\n\nPhysical Demands\nAbility to lift up to 50 pounds;\n\nExtensive walking or movement, bending, kneeling, and working with machines\n\nFrequently wearing a dust mask;\n\nComfortable in environments with high noise levels;\n\nManual dexterity to perform intricate and/or repetitive tasks;\n\nWear issued personal protective equipment (PPE) such as dust masks, gloves etc., when required;\n\nAbility to stand for a full shift;\n\nAbility to sit at a desk and do general office work, which includes periodic sedentary responsibilities;\n\nPlease note that ALS operates 24/7 and will require day, afternoon, and graveyard shift work including weekends.\n\nWorking at ALS\nThe ALS team is a diverse and dedicated community united by our passion to make a difference in the world.\nOur values are important to us, and shape how we work, how we treat each other and how we recognise excellence.\nAt ALS, you’ll be supported to develop new skills and reach your full potential.
