{"id":3413292,"url":"https://alion.io/job/als-warehouse-technician-6","title":"Warehouse Technician","company":{"id":449653,"name":"ALS","domain":"alsglobal.com","url":"https://alion.io/company/als-4","size_band":"201-500","is_staffing_agency":false,"employer_type":"direct","is_intermediary":false,"listed_via":null,"ats_vendor":"Workday","truth_index":{"grade":"B","score":80,"open_postings":79,"ghost_share":0,"stale_share":0.785,"repost_share":0.013,"time_to_fill_p50_days":30,"computed_at":"2026-11-03T05:54:40Z"}},"role":"Field & Service","role_family":"Field & Service","seniority":"junior","employment_type":"full_time","work_mode":"on_site","remote_scope":null,"remote_scope_basis":null,"remote_working_hours":null,"hiring_geo_confidence":"structured","locations":["Reno, United States"],"countries":["US"],"hiring_countries":[],"hiring_countries_total":0,"salary":null,"salary_estimate":{"min_usd":31000,"max_usd":55000,"period":"year","method":"role_seniority_country_remote_cell","sample_n":7889},"experience_years_min":2,"visa_sponsorship":false,"relocation_package":false,"has_equity":false,"technologies":[{"name":"Microsoft Office","optional":false}],"status":"live","first_seen_at":"2026-10-28T18:34:06Z","employer_posted_date":"2026-10-28","last_verified_at":"2026-11-03T15:50:37Z","board_verified":true,"closed_at":null,"days_open":6,"trust":{"level":"ok","repost_count":null,"flags":[],"days_open":6},"description":"At ALS, we encourage you to dream big.\nWhen you join us, you’ll be part of a global team harnessing the power of scientific testing and data-driven insights to build a healthier future.\nAbout the Position\nThe Warehouse Tech provides support in the areas of storage, retrieval and shipping of pulp and rejects samples, oversees discard activities, provides strict control of sample movements, cleaning, and safety and ensures standard operating procedures are strictly followed in the\nperformance of all the activities in the warehouse.\nSpecific Responsibilities\nPrepare packaging for outgoing shipments of pulp samples and rejects while ensuring proper protection of same\nSorting, locating and retrieving sample pulp and rejects from the warehouse facility using forklift\nAccurate data entry and inventory control of sample rejects, pulps, scan pallets and bins\nCoordinate the pulp and reject storage, disposal and return to clients in a timely manner\nEnsure sample records and supplies are complete and accurate\nConduct local deliveries and pick-ups as needed\nOversees maintenance of vehicle inspection logs\nConduct inventory counts as requested\nOversees the storage of supplies in the warehouse area\nProvide inventory count to invoice clients for their pulp and reject storage\nProvide daily productivity information as requested by manager\nCreates written reports\nConducts crew talks and ensures all isles and safety zones are free of obstruction\nConducts daily racking and equipment pre-operation inspection\nLiaise with clients and respond to client inquiries\nResponsible for providing training to new staff\nOther general shipping, receiving and supplies warehousing functions as needed\nUse correct methods in accordance with the established procedures and schedules while ensuring analytical quality\nObserve established safety regulations and comply with all ALS health and safety policies and procedures\nOther duties as assigned.\nRequired Knowledge, Skills & Abilities\nAbility to perform repetitive tasks accurately and thorough\nAbility to work within a fast-paced, high volume environment\nIntermediate understanding of computer applications (Microsoft Office Suite);\nExcellent English communication skills both written and verbal and ability to read English\nAbility to work within a team environment\nComfortable with writing report\nStrong organizational skills and attention to detail\nGood hand eye coordination.\nRequired Qualifications\nGrade 12 diploma preferred\nCurrent driver’s license with clean driving history required\nForklift license and experience operating a forklift required\nMinimum two years previous warehouse and shipping & receiving experience required.\nPhysical Demands\nAbility to lift up to 50 pounds; (occasionally lifting may exceed 50lbs and assistance is mandatory from either another employee or the lift assist equipment);\nExtensive walking or movement, bending, kneeling, and working with machines\nFrequently wearing a dust mask\nComfortable in environments with high noise levels\nAbility to sit and/or stand for a full shift\nManual dexterity to perform repetitive tasks\nWorking at ALS\nThe ALS team is a diverse and dedicated community united by our passion to make a difference in the world.\nOur values are important to us, and shape how we work, how we treat each other and how we recognise excellence.\nAt ALS, you’ll be supported to develop new skills and reach your full potential.
