As required you will provide support to ALS clients on our processes and technical requirements relating to their samples.\nSpecific Responsibilities\nEnsures that work orders are entered accurately and in a timely manner;\nMaintains close liaison with supervisors and other lab staff to ensure the smooth delivery of our services to clients;\nIdentifies and resolves internal and external problems when they arise;\nEnsures that all Standard Operating Procedures are adhered to;\nProper and timely follow-up of client enquiries or requests;\nFollow up on “on hold” work orders;\nGreet all internal and external customers courteously, determine their needs, and direct them to the proper person;\nDirecting calls and taking messages when necessary;\nProcessing a variety of paperwork;\nNotifies the appropriate employee when mail or packages arrive so they can be picked up and/or delivered in a timely manner;\nMaintain a positive work environment through active team participation and a focus on quality customer service;\n Use correct methods in accordance with established procedures and schedules while ensuring analytical quality;\nObserve established safety regulations and comply with all ALS health and safety policies and procedures;\nOther duties as assigned.\nRequired Knowledge, Skills & Abilities\nStrong interpersonal, leadership and organizational and communication skills;\nStrong Microsoft Office Suite skills;\nExcellent English communication skills both written and verbal;\nStrong customer service focus, interpersonal and organizational abilities;\nHighly motivated and able to work as part of the team;\nDetail oriented and quality focused individual.\nRequired Qualifications\nPrevious experience with data entry systems required;\nAdministrative Assistant training or business degree preferred.\nPhysical Demands\nAbility to sit and/or stand for up to 7.5 hours per shift;\nManual dexterity to do repetitive tasks such as data entry.\nPlease note that ALS Geochemistry operates 24/7 and will require day, afternoon, and graveyard shift work including weekends.\nWorking at ALS\nThe ALS team is a diverse and dedicated community united by our passion to make a difference in the world.\nOur values are important to us, and shape how we work, how we treat each other and how we recognise excellence.\nAt ALS, you’ll be supported to develop new skills and reach your full potential.
