The primary function of the role is to provide data entry services using the company’s Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS). However, the successful applicant may also be required to undertake additional duties as needed and within their capabilities.\nWorking Monday to Friday on an 8 hour shift, your responsibilities will include:\nFiling, archiving and updating all records as required.\nScreening phone calls and escalating them to appropriate personnel.\nSecond checking CPT (Client Profile Template), work orders, and client codes for Technical Clerical Officers.\nInputting analytical methods and relevant information into GEMS.\nAssigning method codes and correcting invoices and credits.\nEnsuring pricing is correct for active and new work orders.\nLiaising with management to obtain turnaround times and ETA’s.\nOther duties as directed by the Section Supervisor/Manager.\nHands-on training will be provided in various areas of the laboratory and preparation sections to gain an understanding of the operations of the facilities.\nThe essentials\nGood alpha/numeric skills\nStrong language skills and the ability to communicate effectively with internal and external clients\nComputer skills and experience with Excel, Word, and OneNote\nStrong attention to detail with a proven ability to collect, interpret and manage data efficiently and accurately\nExperience within a laboratory environment would be advantageous and highly regarded - not essential.\nGeology, Chemistry, or Earth Science qualifications would be desirable - not essential.\nWell presented with a friendly team manner\nBe able to work to deadlines and within a team\nWorking at ALS\nThe ALS team is a diverse and dedicated community united by our passion to make a difference in the world.\nOur values are important to us, and shape how we work, how we treat each other and how we recognise excellence.\nAt ALS, you’ll be supported to develop new skills and reach your full potential.
