Our mission is to inspire everyone to ride ALSO-replacing many local car, truck and SUV miles with ones on vehicles that are more affordable, more enjoyable and 10-50x more efficient.\nALSO is looking for a Systems Engineering Manager to lead requirements and feature development across our electric mobility vehicle platforms.\nWhat You'll Do\nDrive architecture and requirements development for a cross-functional micromobility vehicle platform program (Electrical Engineering, Firmware, Product Design) from a systems engineering perspective, ensuring alignment from concept through validation\n\nServe as the primary technical interface between customers and ALSO leadership to capture product intent and translate it into clear system artifacts, including user stories, CONOPS, and use cases\n\nDefine and manage requirements at the system, subsystem, and hardware module levels, collaborating closely with internal stakeholders across low-voltage electronics, battery and energy storage systems, drivetrain and actuators, connectivity and telematics, HMI, and sensor systems\n\nEnsure end-to-end traceability across user stories, features, system requirements, subsystem requirements, and verification/validation test cases\n\nDevelop and maintain system architectures for distributed embedded controllers, including interface definitions and communication protocols, functional decomposition and allocation, and fault detection, handling, and system-level robustness\n\nCollaborate closely with software engineers, electrical engineers, product designers, product managers, and UI/UX teams to drive CONOPS, activity diagrams, feature design, development, and validation\n\nDevelop state machines, such as power states for the platform\n\nSupport end-to-end feature validation, contributing to the definition and execution of test cases and test plans across bench and HIL testing, vehicle-level bring-up, and system integration and performance validation\n\nWhat You'll Bring\nBS/MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related field\n\n8+ years of professional experience in systems engineering or embedded software development\n\nUnderstanding of Real Time Operating Systems (RTOS)\n\nExperience working with embedded systems\n\nExtensive knowledge of automotive communication protocols (CAN, CAN FD, SPI)\n\nRequirements management tools such as JAMA, or Polarion and using model based systems engineering\n\nThe salary for this position ranges from $200,000 -
