Every day, more than 80 000 colleagues lead the way to greener and smarter mobility worldwide, connecting cities as we reduce carbon and replace cars.\n\nJOB TITLE & JOB CODE\n\nJob Title(Job Code):\nEN-DR-42: Traction Mechanical CAD Designer\n\nPURPOSE OF THE JOB\n\n- Developing design solutions (aka installations) within the DMU\n- Playing a key role in their complete life cycle, from specification to production support and industrial validation, in a collaborative work environment\n\nORGANISATION\n\nOrganisation structure (job belongs to..)\nEngineering (Site)\nReports directly to:\nEN-GR-02: (Site) Mechanical Domain Leader (MDL)\nOperationally reports to:\nEN-DT-03 / Traction Design Leader (TDL)\n\nOther reporting to:\nNone\nDirect reports:\nNone\n\nNetwork & Links\n\nInternal\n- Internal suppliers\n- Engineering counterparts- Structural integrity discipline engineers\n- Project Industrial representatives\n- Project Maintenance representatives\n\nExternal\n- External suppliers upon request\n\nMAIN RESPONSIBILITIES\n\nPerformance Measurement/KPI’s\n- Respect of committed lead time\nResponsibilities\nAccountable for:\n- Delivering design solutions (aka installations) including:\n-- Designing and pre-dimensioning design solutions (aka installations) main parts interfaces\n-- Designing design solutions (aka installations) main parts (if decision of design make)\n-- Checking and integrating design solutions (aka installations) main 3D parts (if part design is purshased)\n-- Producing associated drawings and integrating meta data\n-- Checking other CAD work in peer review, or work produced by another site on the design solution (aka installation) on relevant scope\n- Performing stack up analysis intenal to the design solution (aka installation) (when required)\n- Considering RoE and implementing problem solving methodologies on relevant scope\n\nResponsible for\n- Performing and maintaining SAM (Space Allocation Model) in accordance with progressive maturity rules considering all constraints\n- Creating annotated SAM for exchanges with suppliers\n- Checking compliancy of suppliers feedback with relevant SAM\n- Producing and communicating weight information\n- Instructing Engineering change requests and executing Engineering change in relevant scope\n- Reporting on progress and status\nContributes to\n- Concurrent engineering with indus, internal and external suppliers\n- Subsystem-level dimensional stack-up analyses\n- Production support (back-office and shop floor)\n- First Mounting Review\n- Identification of mock up necessary for work verification\n\nMAIN REQUIRED COMPETENCIES\n\nEducational Requirements& Experience\n\nMandatory: \nAdvanced technician certificate\n\nDesirable:\n\nExperience\n\nMandatory:\n3D Modelling, drawing/FTA creation\nDesign in heavy industry\n\nDesirable:\nRailway industry experience is considered an asset\n\nCompetencies & Skills\nTechnical\n- English basics in read/writing and technical meetings\n- PLM4A / Catia V6\n\nBehavioral\n- Rigorous\n- Strong initiative and proactive behavior in daily activities\n\nYou don’t need to be a train enthusiast to thrive with us.
