You’ll report to Head of Wayside and manage a team of skilled System Engineers. You'll play a key role in delivering high-quality wayside solutions to customers around the world within a dynamic environment. You’ll be involved in ensuring that the team has the necessary resources for optimal performance, focusing on effective workflows, processes, tools, skills development and appropriate staffing. Also, you’ll make sure that your team has the right environment and capability to ensure Quality and On time delivery. You will collaborate with Wayside leadership team consisting of Project Managers, SW Development- and V&V Group Managers to ensure a high performing and innovative environment.\nJoin us if you are innovative, knowledge seeking and have a passion for problem solving. We want you to question our solutions and way of working, to come up with new creative ideas for market leading rail solutions.\nWe'll look to you for:\nLead and manage Systems Engineering activities for Wayside Product Development\nSupport alignment of the Solution roadmap with internal execution strategy.\nDevelop customer relationships to align long-term roadmaps and ensure continuous improvements in both quality and functionality.\nLeading team and individual development performance against objectives\nVisual Management to monitor and address issues and risks of your team deliveries\nEscalating risks or events that could impact QCD commitments\nOrganizing and leading Systems Engineering reviews\nManaging commitments and changes related to requirements\nDevelop ways of working to adhere to Alstom processes and tools to be aligned with all stakeholders.\nEnsure the quality and accuracy of our deliverables, innovate and improve on our existing solutions.\nFoster a collaborative and inclusive team culture that promotes diversity and inclusion.\nIdentifying improvement areas and driving actions to enhance development success\nPromote a safe and healthy work environment.\nManage capacity and competence planning in close collaboration with the development programs.\nBuild capabilities to drive the development of railway signaling solutions.\nCommunicate effectively with clients and stakeholders.\nAll about you:\nBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering.\nAt least 5 years of experience in leadership.\nStrong team management skills.\nExperience in managing deliveries in development projects\nExperience working with Systems Engineering in embedded products.\nExperience of testing or/and development in safety-critical or other complex systems development.\nExperience with Hardware, Software and environmental development.\nExperience mentoring and developing System Engineers.\nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills.\nCommitment to diversity and inclusion.\nEnglish at a fluent level is mandatory for this role, Swedish will be considered a plus.\nExperience with safety standards such as CENELEC (EN50126, EN50128, EN50129) or equivalent is a plus.\nThings you’ll enjoy\nJoin us on a life-long transformative journey - the rail industry is here to stay, so you can grow and develop new skills and experiences throughout your career.
