As a Hardware Validation Engineer, you will play a key role in the development and validation of wayside products within the Onvia Balise program, including balises, programming tools, and encoders.\nThis is a hands-on, technically rich role where you will contribute to both new product development and the lifecycle support of existing solutions, ensuring they meet the highest industry standards for safety, reliability, and performance. You will collaborate across multidisciplinary teams and have the opportunity to expand your expertise toward system and product development.\nYou will plan and execute Verification & Validation (V&V) activities on electronic hardware systems, ensuring products meet design, safety, and operational requirements through rigorous testing and analysis.\nWe'll look to you for:\nDesign & Execute Testing\nDevelop and execute test cases to verify hardware requirements and design compliance\n\nPerform RF/radio, EMC, environmental, and functional testing\n\nValidation & Analysis\nDefine, document, and analyze test cases in line with company processes and standards\n\nInterpret test results, identify deviations, and support root cause analysis\n\nTest Development\nDesign and maintain electronics test benches and validation tools\n\nContribute to the development of robust and scalable validation environments\n\nCross-Functional Collaboration\nWork closely with hardware, software, FPGA, and system teams to validate new or modified products\n\nSupport integration, qualification, and type testing activities\n\nProduct Support & Continuous Improvement\nSupport maintenance of existing products and evaluate non-conformities\n\nContribute to continuous improvement and standardization of validation practices\n\nCompliance & Quality\nEnsure all testing and validation activities align with industry-specific standards and safety requirements\n\nSupport change impact analysis and non-regression testing\n\nAll about you\nProven experience in:\nElectronics testing (RF, EMC, environmental testing preferred)\n\nDevelopment of electronics test benches\n\nExecution and analysis of hardware validation tests\n\nStrong knowledge of:\nElectronic test tools and validation software\n\nChange management, configuration management, and requirements traceability tools\n\nFamiliarity with programming (C, C++, C#) is a plus\n\nExposure to safety-critical systems development is advantageous\n\nAbility to produce clear technical documentation, specifications, and reports\n\nA proactive problem solver with a creative mindset\n\nCollaborative team player with strong communication skills\n\nCuriosity and drive to grow within hardware, system, or product development\n\nYou don’t need to be a train enthusiast to thrive with us.
