You’ll work alongside innovative, diligent, and supportive teammates.\nYou'll act as a control tower to ensure overall consistency in our application landscape. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (architecture, design, implementation, and support), maintain technical solution documentation, and much more.\nYou’ll specifically take care of providing technical and domain expertise on complex topics, as well as leading technical design and architecture.\nWe’ll look to you for:\nCollect, challenge, clarify and manage demands from central Business and stakeholders\nEnsure alignment with Corporate Strategies & official Business Processes\nParticipate to the Software Engineering roadmap and align it with the global Digital Transformation roadmap\nPrepare architecture recommendations and decision inputs for governance and Change Control Boards\nModel & maintain functional and technical architecture, solutions referential, standards and design documentation of the domain\nPromote Alstom Core Model by leading evolution and ensuring its consistency\nContribute to all phases of applications lifecycle from definition, architecture, design trough implementation, debugging, testing and early support\nContribute to Business Processes development and improvement through technology watch\nProvide technical and domain expertise on complex topics and lead technical proofs of concept\nBuild best practices and continuous improvement on development activities\nProvide technical and domain expertise on complex topics and lead technical proofs of concept\nAnalyse technology industry and business trends and determine their potential applicability at Alstom\nGuide responsible adoption of AI-assisted engineering across the SDLC, with appropriate quality, security, traceability and value controls\nAll about you\nWe value passion and attitude over experience. Instead, we’ve listed some that we think will help you succeed and grow in this role:\nA degree in Engineering or equivalent higher education, preferably in information technology, computer science or software engineering.\nOver all 9+years of Experience in in software or solution architecture covering various roles (business / functional architecture / development/customization, deployment, ownership in complex environments)\nSolid knowledge of software engineering processes: requirements, architecture, development, configuration management, build, release, verification, validation and support\nDeep knowledge of software version control and configuration management, CI/CD, build and release automation, artifact management, quality gates and DevSecOps practices\nProven architecture skills covering functional and technical design, integration patterns, APIs, automation, scalability, resilience, observability and lifecycle management\nBackground and appetite for responsible AI applied to the SDLC\nStrong development and scripting skills in several languages (Perl, Python, etc) with experience in bespoke application development\nGeneral knowledge of IT infrastructure systems: Azure, Linux, Windows, virtualization, servers, databases, networks and storage\nTechnical knowledge of IBM Jazz ELM, ClearCase, ClearQuest or Synergy administration, architecture and customization is considered a plus\nAbility to address application security vulnerabilities and apply secure-by-design principles\nExperience working for global companies as a service provider or customer, ideally in both roles\nVery strong technical leadership and business-value orientation\nDeep interest or knowledge on engineering solutions (especially in railway and safety context) regarding architecture and development/customization\nGood communication, efficiency and ability to execute.
