Reporting to the Operations Manager, you'll lead a team of skilled technicians to deliver safe, reliable, and high-quality maintenance outcomes across the Sydney Light Rail Fleet, based in Lilyfield NSW. In this hands-on leadership role, you'll work closely with Engineering, Quality and Operations teams to drive fleet performance, safety, and continuous improvement. You will also be required to participate in a rotating roster, which includes morning shifts and night shifts across weekdays and weekends. We'll look to you to:\nLead and coordinate planned and corrective maintenance activities across the fleet.\nMaximise team and resource utilisation to achieve contractual and operational targets.\nEnsure compliance with all safety, quality and maintenance standards.\nOversee fault finding, servicing and repair of Light Rail Vehicles (LRVs).\nCoach, mentor and develop technicians to build capability and performance.\nDrive process improvements and implement smarter ways of working.\nImprove fleet availability, reliability and operational performance.\nFoster a positive, safety-focused and high-performing team culture.\nAll about you\nWe value passion and attitude over experience.
