You'll play a crucial role in defining and validating detailed manufacturing processes for new products, creating industrial documentation, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and quality. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (such as Process Engineers, Product Design teams, and Quality Assurance), lead the industrialization of retrofit processes following engineering changes, and ensure optimal EHS and ergonomic conditions-and much more.\nWe’ll look to you for:\nContributing ideas to the Process Engineer or PIM to enhance product manufacturability and meet QCD (Quality, Cost, Delivery) targets,\nParticipating in product design reviews as necessary,\nCollaborating on Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (P-FMEA) and validating prototypes,\nRequesting tooling as needed and writing detailed tooling specifications,\nEnsuring optimal EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety) and ergonomic conditions,\nPerforming task sequencing for workstations and calculating accurate method times,\nIndustrializing retrofit processes following engineering changes to include routings, work instructions, and tooling,\nLeading continuous process improvement initiatives,\nActing as a champion for Alstom Performance System (APSYS),\nDeveloping and managing ERP routings and work/inspection instructions.\nAll about you\nWe value passion and attitude over experience. Instead, we’ve listed some that we think will help you succeed and grow in this role:\nBachelor’s degree in Industrial, Process, Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering,\n\nCandidates may include new graduates with internships or up to ~5 years of hands-on experience.\n\nExperience or understanding of manufacturing processes and methods,\nPreferred experience in a manufacturing or assembly environment (electrical/mechanical assembly work is especially relevant).\nDemonstrated ability or exposure to process documentation and improvement,\nFamiliarity with Quality, EHS standards, and Ergonomics,\nStrong communication skills in English (verbal and written),\nTechnical knowledge of Manufacturing Engineering, including writing manufacturing work instructions and line balancing,\nFamiliarity with Process FMEA and QRQC (Quick Response Quality Control),\nExperience with time analysis methodologies (e.g., MTM, MEK, UAS),\nAbility to contribute to continuous improvement initiatives,\nWillingness and ability to travel up to 10% for work.\nThings you’ll enjoy\nJoin us on a life-long transformative journey - the rail industry is here to stay, so you can grow and develop new skills and experiences throughout your career.
