You’ll work alongside dedicated and innovative teammates.\nYou'll play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality, safety, and reliability of our signaling systems. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (engineering, project management, and installation teams), ensure compliance with safety standards, and contribute to groundbreaking transportation projects.\nYou’ll specifically take care of testing and commissioning activities for railway signaling technologies, but also support installation and troubleshooting processes.\nWe’ll look to you for:\nApplying Lock Out Tag Out procedures and ensuring safety compliance\n\nReading and interpreting drawings, circuit diagrams, and electrical code specifications\n\nInstalling, replacing, and repairing electrical control and distribution equipment\n\nTesting circuit continuity and ensuring system compatibility and safety\n\nTroubleshooting and isolating faults in electrical and electronic systems\n\nPreparing and executing testing activities under the direction of your hierarchy\n\nDeveloping and reviewing test procedures and technical reports\n\nAdhering to testing schedules and plans while maintaining quality and safety standards\n\nCollaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver on project milestones\n\nUsing and maintaining tools and equipment with care and precision\n\nReporting and addressing any risks identified during testing activities\n\nAll about you\nWe value passion and attitude over experience. Instead, we’ve listed some that we think will help you succeed and grow in this role:\nValid 309A Electrical License (Ontario) or the ability to transfer your license to Ontario\n\nRed Seal certification\n\nMinimum 5 years of commercial and residential electrical experience\n\nSolid knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code\n\nExperience interpreting engineering drawings, schematics, and relay logic\n\nExperience writing and reviewing test procedures and technical reports\n\nKnowledge of signaling testing and commissioning is an asset\n\nFamiliarity with Canadian Railway Operating Rules (CROR) and Transport Canada standards is an advantage\n\nMetrolinx Personal Track Safety certification or experience with Metrolinx systems is a plus\n\nProficiency in standard computer applications\n\nCompleted ARC Flash, WHMIS, and Working from Heights training\n\nValid G Driver’s License with a clean driving record\n\nStrong problem-solving skills and attention to detail\n\nAbility to work independently or as part of a team\n\nThings you’ll enjoy Join us on a life-long transformative journey - the rail industry is here to stay, so you can grow and develop new skills and experiences throughout your career.
