You’ll work alongside a highly motivated and innovative team.\nYou'll contribute to the development of complex embedded solutions and play a critical role in delivering software modules by ensuring detailed design, implementation, and testing. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business, including software architects, designers, and verification and validation (V&V) teams. You will also support programs to meet Quality, Cost, and Delivery (QCD) commitments and much more.\nYou’ll specifically take care of the integration of software modules and perform detailed design and coding, but also collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment throughout the software design cycle.\nWe’ll look to you for:\nContributing to the elaboration of software specifications and architecture in collaboration with the software architect\n\nPerforming integration of software modules\n\nDeveloping software modules, including detailed design, coding, and testing\n\nSetting up and maintaining the software development toolchain\n\nConducting software module tests and verifications of deliverables\n\nSupporting software and hardware integration\n\nApplying processes and standards to ensure quality and compliance\n\nContributing to continuous improvement by implementing reusable solutions and participating in Return on Experience (RoE) initiatives\n\nAll about you\nWe value passion and attitude over experience. Instead, we’ve listed some that we think will help you succeed and grow in this role:\nBachelor's or Postgraduate degree in Engineering - IT, CS, ECE, EEE, or equivalent\n\n12+ years of experience in designing software modules for complex embedded systems\n\nExperience with IoT cloud protocols: MQTT, AMQP, HTTP/REST, TLS\nExperience or understanding of embedded/RTOS applications and software processes\n\nKnowledge of Microservices design patterns: API gateway, service discovery, load balancing, fault tolerance.\nKnowledge of CENELEC SIL4/DO178A/DO178B standards\n\nExperience with IoT cloud platform: AWS IoT, Azure IoT Hub, Google Cloud IoT\nFamiliarity with programming languages like Embedded C and Python\n\nProficiency in operating systems such as RT Linux\n\nUnderstanding of protocols like TCP/IP and exposure to cybersecurity feature development\n\nExperience in collaborating with cross-functional and geographically distributed teams\n\nStrong communication and leadership skills to guide and influence in a matrix organization\n\nAbility to innovate and create reusable solutions\n\nThings you’ll enjoy Join us on a life-long transformative journey - the rail industry is here to stay, so you can grow and develop new skills and experiences throughout your career.
