Every day, 80,000 colleagues lead the way to greener and smarter mobility worldwide, connecting cities as we reduce carbon and replace cars.\nYour future role\nTake on a new challenge and apply your electrical/electronic and locomotive troubleshooting expertise in a dynamic railway environment.\nYou’ll play a key role in troubleshooting and testing locomotives during scheduled maintenance, mainline attention, and overhauling, helping improve fleet reliability and operational performance.\nDay-to-day, you’ll work closely with Operations, ILS, Fleet & Warranty, EHS, and Industrial teams, while interacting with Indian Railways personnel to diagnose failures and implement effective technical solutions.\nWe’ll look to you for:\nTroubleshooting locomotives across maintenance and operational phases\nDiagnosing electrical, electronic, power circuit, and pneumatic system issues\nTesting locomotives and validating system functionality\nUploading/downloading software and performing functional validation\nReading and interpreting locomotive electrical schematics\nEnsuring troubleshooting tools remain valid and appropriately certified\nMaintaining and updating failure databases\nSupporting failure analysis and continuous reliability improvement\nProviding technical support for special or critical cases\nCoordinating effectively within the troubleshooting team and with cross-functional stakeholders\nFollowing applicable EHS and safety procedures\nAll about you\nWe value technical capability, problem-solving, and a strong safety mindset. Some of the experience and skills that will help you succeed include:\nB.Tech in Electrical/Electronic Engineering with 3-5 years’ experience in an Electric Loco Shed as a troubleshooter/maintainer, or\nDiploma in Electrical/Electronic Engineering with 5-7 years’ experience in an Electric Loco Shed as a troubleshooter/maintainer\nKnowledge of locomotive electrical schematics and power circuits\nUnderstanding of locomotive pneumatic systems\nAbility to upload/download software and validate functionality\nWorking knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills\nGood communication and teamwork\nAbility to work effectively under pressure\nStrong attention to detail, accountability, and commitment to safety\nExperience in a locomotive subsystem such as Traction, Brakes, or TCMS, along with knowledge of special processes such as torquing and crimping, would be advantageous.\nYour key network and stakeholders\nYou’ll work closely with:\nOperations\nILS\nFleet & Warranty\nEHS\nIndustrial teams\nIndian Railways loco pilots, SSEs, and officials\nHow your success will be measured\nYour contribution will focus on:\nEffective and timely locomotive troubleshooting\nQuality of fault diagnosis and technical resolution\nAccurate failure reporting and documentation\nContribution to reliability improvement\nCompliance with EHS and safety requirements\nEffective collaboration with operational and technical teams\nThings you’ll enjoy\nJoin a hands-on railway engineering environment where you’ll work directly with electric locomotives and critical subsystems, solve challenging technical issues, and contribute to fleet reliability.\nYou’ll develop your expertise across locomotive systems, collaborate with experienced railway professionals, and contribute to safer and more reliable train operations.\nYou don’t need to be a train enthusiast to thrive with us.
