You’ll be located in Mannheim/Germany and work alongside passionate, motivated, and dedicated teammates.\nNo two days are the same, but day-to-day, you will work closely with teams across the company to maintain and develop Train Control System for our current and future Traxx Locomotives generation and much more.\nYou’ll specifically take care of Traxx Locomotivesdevelopment of TRAXX locomotive train control and information systems but also contribute to other train control related projects and in continuous improvement of our way of working, processes and tools.\nWe’ll look to you for:\nContribute to concepts, design, and requirements of train control functionality \nContribute to TCMS architecture and design \nResponsible to derive software design, requirements \nResponsible to implement changes and new functionality \nResponsible for evaluating problem reports from different sources like field testing on vehicles or laboratory tests. \nOccasionally supporting on vehicle during train integration, testing or validation \nAll about you:\nWe value passion and attitude over experience. Instead, we’ve listed some that we think will help you succeed and grow in this role:\nFulfill the eligibility criteria for a VIE assignment, including:\nBeing between 18 and 28 years old\nHolding a relevant degree or equivalent work experience\nBeing an EU citizen\nNot currently residing in Germany (since a VIE must take place outside your country of residence)\nMove to work location for the duration of the contract (24 months)\n\nHands-on experience in design & development software (EN-IEC 61131) \nKnowledge of EN 50657, EN 50716, EN 50128 and EN50129 \nExperience in electrical and schematic design activities is valuable \nFluent in English, German is nice to have, but not mandatory\nStrong team spirit \nCommitment and initiative.\nYou don’t need to be a train enthusiast to thrive with us.
