We build AI-guided interceptors to counter drones and cruise missiles, along with the software platform that powers them.\nOur customers are NATO-aligned militaries and defense institutions, and our systems are regularly deployed during live exercises and operational demonstrations across Europe, the Middle East, and Asia.\nFounded in 2024, we have grown to 90 people, raised over $60M, and increased revenue 40× this year. We are now entering a new phase of international expansion, industrial scaling, fundraising, and product development.\nRole & Mission\nYou will be the operational backbone of Alta Ares' field demonstration team - ensuring that every client and partner demonstration runs flawlessly, from equipment preparation through to mission debrief.\nOn the ground, you are the go-to support for pilots, operators, and engineers: handling logistics, setting up and dismantling demo sites, keeping the equipment fleet in condition, and solving problems on the fly. Your versatility and resourcefulness set you apart - you move seamlessly from a hardware check to a client interaction, from a flight case to a transport declaration, without losing pace or precision.\nKey Responsibilities\nDemonstration Preparation\nPrepare and verify all equipment before each mission: drones, ground control stations, batteries, and tooling\n\nPack into flight cases and conduct pre-departure checks\n\nKeep inventories accurate and up to date\n\nChecklists & Continuous Improvement\nOwn the operational and equipment checklists - execute them on the day\n\nUpdate checklists after each mission based on field feedback\n\nFormalise and improve processes continuously\n\nLogistics & Transport\nOrganise outbound shipments and equipment returns\n\nPrepare all transport documentation and coordinate with carriers and the supply chain\n\nEnsure material arrives on time and in compliance with applicable regulations, including for sensitive or dual-use equipment\n\nField Deployment\nInstall and strike the demonstration site\n\nSupport pilots during flight operations\n\nServe as the on-site point of contact for ground teams, host nation staff, and client representatives\n\nEquipment Maintenance\nMonitor the condition of the demonstration fleet and report anomalies\n\nCarry out first-level maintenance interventions\n\nKeep the hardware mission-ready at all times\n\nAdministrative Support\nPrepare authorisation requests and write mission reports\n\nManage expense claims and travel bookings\n\nKeep tracking tools up to date: backlog, planning, and mission logs\n\nCandidate Profile\nMilitary background or defence sector experience strongly valued: logistics, field support, or operations\n\nUnderstanding of the defence ecosystem required - genuine commitment to national and European sovereignty\n\nVersatile and resourceful: you move from a manual handling task to a client conversation without missing a beat\n\nRigorous on equipment and procedures - with the instinct to formalise and improve what can be\n\nComfortable working independently and as part of a team\n\nAvailable for frequent travel, including internationally and in degraded security environments, sometimes at short notice\n\nProfessional English - mandatory\n\nFrench driving licence (Permis B) - mandatory; heavy goods licence (Poids Lourd) appreciated\n\nGood physical condition - outdoor work and load carrying are part of the role\n\nExperience in drone piloting or the UAS/C-UAS ecosystem is a plus\n\nExperience shipping sensitive equipment is a plus","description_format":"text","description_chars":3515,"description_truncated":false,"requirements":{"experience_years_min":null,"management_years_min":null,"team_size_min":null,"manages_managers":false,"education":{"level":"bachelor","optional":false},"security_clearance":false,"languages":[{"language":"French","level":"All levels","optional":false},{"language":"English","level":"All levels","optional":false}]},"benefits":[],"hiring_locations":[],"hiring_excludes":[],"relocation_offered":false,"industries":["Air Defense"],"lifecycle":[{"event":"open","at":"2026-10-02T20:21:18Z"}],"visa":[],"liveness":{"score":66,"band":"ok","label":"Likely open","p_open":1,"p_active":0.736,"p_room":0.9,"age_days":16,"expected_fill_days":32,"reasons":["conf:1","velocity","win:mid"],"computed_at":"2026-10-19T05:45:15Z"},"pay":null,"html_url":"https://alion.io/job/alta-ares-field-operations-specialist","json_url":"https://alion.io/job/alta-ares-field-operations-specialist.json","meta":{"generated_at":"2026-10-19T16:33:13Z","cache_seconds":300,"methodology":"https://alion.io/methodology","terms":"https://alion.io/terms","contact":"https://alion.io/contact","api":"https://alion.io/developers","about":"Alion is a live layer of people, companies and AI agents: who they are, whether they are real and active right now, what they do and how to work with them, readable by people and by agents and paid per call.","catalog":"https://alion.io/catalog.json","usage":{"tier":"crawler_verified","counted_by":"address","units_charged":1,"used_today":12527,"day_limit":null,"remaining_today":null,"minute_limit":300,"resets_at":"2026-10-20T00:00:00Z"}},"offers":[{"id":"company.slices","title":"One company in depth, by slice","status":"live","price":{"credits":0.02,"usd":0.002,"plus_per_slice":{"credits":0.05,"usd":0.005}},"unit":"per company, plus each slice with data","note":"the employer in depth","call":{"mcp_tool":"get_company","arguments":{"id":2199932},"rest":"https://alion.io/mcp/rest/get_company?id=2199932"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=company.slices&for=job%2Falta-ares-field-operations-specialist"},{"id":"market.stats","title":"A market slice: pay, demand and time to fill","status":"live","price":{"credits":1,"usd":0.1},"unit":"per slice","note":"pay, demand and time to fill for this role and place","call":{"mcp_tool":"market_stats"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=market.stats&for=job%2Falta-ares-field-operations-specialist"},{"id":"job.search","title":"Open jobs by role, technology, place, pay and visa","status":"live","price":{"credits":0.02,"usd":0.002},"unit":"per posting in a list","note":"similar open postings","call":{"mcp_tool":"search_jobs"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=job.search&for=job%2Falta-ares-field-operations-specialist"},{"id":"company.verify","title":"Is this company real and active right now","status":"pilot","price":null,"unit":"per company","request":{"url":"https://alion.io/catalog/request","method":"POST","body":"{\"offer\": \"company.verify\", \"for\": \"job/alta-ares-field-operations-specialist\", \"note\": \"what you need it for\"}"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=company.verify&for=job%2Falta-ares-field-operations-specialist"}]}
