The responsibilities and qualifications for the position consist of, but are not limited to:\n\nResponsibilities\nEngage with customers through effective communication by making outbound calls to potential customers\nMaintain current customer relationships by communicating with them consistently\nDevelop a social media presence for both the branch and yourself\nStay updated on product and service offerings to ensure accurate information delivery\nDevelop and maintain a comprehensive database of current and prospective customers\nDemonstrate the features and benefits of our products to customers\nUnderstand our finance programs to remain competitive in the market\nResearch and qualify new leads to enhance your sales pipeline, aiming to close sales and meet or exceed sales targets\nParticipate in ongoing training and development programs to sharpen your skills\nMaintain the equipment displays and showroom displays\nAct as a liaison between departments to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.\n\nQualifications\nStrong customer orientation – able to work with customers to understand their needs and overcome obstacles\nSelf-motivated – take ownership for your territory\nProficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and CRM software.\nExcellent communication skills, both verbal and written\nAbility to make 50+ outbound cold calls a day\nExcellent organizational skills and the ability to multitask\nExcellent phone and cold calling skills\nExceptional customer service skills\nExcellent time management skills and organizational skills\nMust have a valid driver’s license and maintain a clean driving record.\nMechanical knowledge and experience within the industry are a plus but not required. The right candidate must have interest and enthusiasm to learn about equipment so they can connect our customers to the appropriate area within Alta Equipment and provide exceptional customer experience from start to finish. \nLanguage Skills - Intermediate: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.\nMathematical Skills - Basic: Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.\nReasoning Ability - Basic: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
