The Project Management function acquires responsibility for a project upon receipt of customer purchase order and is accountable for the successful execution of material order placements and installation. Success is defined as completion of a project on-time and on budget, in conjunction with positive customer interactions and relationship building.\nA Project Manager is responsible for sound decision making, risk management, and overall project cost control. Decision making should be directly related to benefitting the project while managing the customer relationship.\nA Project Manager II consistently performs at the highest levels of Project Management as defined above, as well as makes a significant impact in two or more other critical areas for the business. Such areas include:\nLeadership and development of teammates\nAccount management/development with the ability to generate revenue\nSkills and experience to expand the core business and its capabilities\nHigher level of or continued education, i.e. 2 or 4 year degree, PMP Certification, etc.\n\nPrimary Duties:\nManage short and long term operational and tactical aspects of multiple projects of varying size and scope.\nMeet or exceed the defined Gross Profit goals on each project through supplier management, contractor selection and management, etc.\nParticipate in contractor selection process.\nOversee installation contractors (mechanical and electrical) to ensure on time and profitable execution of installations.\nManage project scope and mitigate inherent risks.\nIdentify and address real or potential issues through quick and practical problem solving.\nHold internal and external Kickoff meetings to ensure project scope is defined and consented.\nEnsure clear and concise communication with customer via requested method(s), i.e. daily or weekly updates, timelines, phone calls, etc.\nEnsure that all coworkers and contracted employees representing PeakLogix on a job site carry themselves in an appropriate and professional manner.\nWork in conjunction with the Sales team to further penetrate client accounts.\nCarry out project add-ons with appropriate billing and timeline management.\nAssist the sales staff with design/configuration of static equipment and systems\n\nPosition Requirements:\nMust be located in the U.S. and authorized to work\nMinimum of 5 to 10 years' experience in project management and the industrial/manufacturing or distribution fields.\nExcellent communication skills and the ability to successfully lead teams and projects to achieve goals and objectives.\nProficient in MS Word, Excel, Project, and CAD Preferred\nSound planning, organizing, and execution skills\nAbility to work independently with minimal supervision\nAbility to coach and develop lesser experienced Project Managers/teammates\nAbility to travel to customer sites in the US.
