The primary responsibilities of the position consist of, but are not limited to:\nSupervise the operation of the shop\nFoster a positive customer and employee relations atmosphere\nCoordinate work for internal and external customers.\nReview & analyze department data to meet goals\nMonitor work in progress (hours billed on jobs)\nMonitor employee training progress\nResponsible for condition of facility\nIncorporate Alta's Guiding Principles into daily activities\nPerform other duties as assigned\nPromote and follow Safety Standards (Steel toe shoes in shop work area, Safety glasses in shop and others.)\n\nQualifications:\n4-6 years of previous supervisory experience preferred\nGeneral knowledge of electric and liquid propane forklift units\nGood mechanical aptitude\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills\nGood customer relations and people skills\nAbility to successfully manage others\nComputer Skills - Hyster/Yale Contact Management, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook\nLanguage Skills - Intermediate: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.\nReasoning Ability - High: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.\nMathematical Skills - Intermediate: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, percentages.\n\nPhysical Demands/Work Environment:\nPhysical/Sensory Functions: Regularly will talk/hear; Frequently will stand, sit, use hands, reach with hands and arms; Occasionally will walk, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. taste/smell.\nVision: Close vision.\nLift and/or Move Functions: Frequently will lift up to 10 pounds; Occasionally will lift up to 100 pounds\nWork Environment: Occasionally will work near moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, outdoor weather conditions, toxic or caustic chemicals, risk of electrical shock, wet or humid conditions (non-weather)\nCompensation Range: $80,000-90,000/year. This range is regarding base pay only and does not include benefits and potential bonuses.
