You'll solve complex engineering challenges that directly impact customers around the world.\nIn this role, you'll:\nModernize a large-scale production React Native application\n\nDesign reliable offline-first mobile experiences\n\nBuild Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) integrations with connected devices\n\nImprove application performance, synchronization, and reliability\n\nInfluence architecture and engineering standards\n\nMentor other developers and provide technical leadership\n\nWork directly with customers to understand real-world workflows and build solutions that make a difference\n\nWhat You'll Do\nDesign, develop, test, and maintain React Native application features\n\nBuild reliable mobile experiences that perform seamlessly online and offline\n\nDesign and improve local data storage and synchronization capabilities\n\nContribute to application architecture, scalability, and long-term technical direction\n\nCollaborate with Product, UX, QA, and Engineering to deliver high-quality solutions\n\nParticipate in code reviews and mentor junior developers\n\nContinuously improve engineering practices, code quality, and team effectiveness\n\nOccasionally visit customer farms to better understand user workflows and identify opportunities for innovation\n\nWhat We're Looking For\nQualifications\n6+ years of professional mobile application development experience, including strong expertise with React Native\nExperience designing and building scalable, maintainable mobile applications using sound software architecture and engineering best practices\nExperience developing applications that support intermittent or offline connectivity, including local databases and mobile synchronization strategies\nExperience integrating Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) or similar hardware/device communication into mobile applications\nNative Android or iOS development experience is a plus\nExperience working in Agile software development environments using Jira, Gitflow, and modern CI/CD practices\nDemonstrated ability to mentor developers, lead technical initiatives, and collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams\nInterest in learning about agriculture and leveraging technology to improve farm operations\nWillingness to travel to customer locations within the U.S. up to 15% as needed\n\nWhy VAS?\nAt VAS, you'll join a collaborative engineering team with the agility of a small software company and the stability and global reach of URUS.
