Join us and help define what’s next.\nWe are currently looking for an Accountant to join our team in Barcelona - Spain. This role is a key part of our growing organization and offers the opportunity to make a real impact within a dynamic, collaborative environment. If you are passionate about delivering results, building strong partnerships, and contributing to high-performance solutions, we would love to hear from you.\nUnder the supervision of the Country Controller, the Accountant has a complete comprehension of the month end group reporting process to ensure that the financial information is accurate and reported in time to meet the expectations of ALTA Performance Materials business management.\nThe responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:\nExecuting month end closing activities in SAP system according to internal closing schedule and in line with IFRS and internal accounting guidelines.\nUndertake system corrections, investigate, and analyse major costs and yield variances.\nReview and Analyse the Plant and Regional SG&A Fixed Costs on a monthly basis.\nPosting of Month end journal entries like accruals journals and and several types of re-class journals.\nPosting of revenue recognition related accruals, e.g. shipped not billed, contract related, deferred billing.\nPosting of payroll and any other standards entries.\nDocument all supporting documentation related month end closings.\nOther Activities\nPreparing the reports to comply with local country requirements such as financial statistical information.\nExecuting Capex and Fixed assets accounting procedures.\nProcessing daily cash application for the nominated ALTA Performance Materials entity.\nPreparing and filing Intrastat reports and supporting the VAT return filing.\nSupporting the external audit process preparing the documentation.\nReconciling Balance sheet accounts\nIn order to be qualified for this role, you must possess the following\nLevel of Education & Experience in General:\nBachelor’s or master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting or Business Administration with professional experience of accounting processes and controls over a minimum of 5 years in an international environment.\nTechnical Skills:\nProfessional knowledge of the use and application of SAP system and Business Warehouse reports\nExcellent understanding of the use and application of Microsoft: Excel, Word…\nFluent English, other European language (French, Polish, Finnish or Spanish) is a plus\nBehavioural Skills:\nStrong interpersonal skills;\nExperience with management and cultural diversity\nHigh degree of tenacity and efficiency orientated\nAbility to work within stringent deadlines\nWhat we offer\nCompetitive salary, including a bonus program participation and a merit-based compensation review plan \nLife and accident insurance is fully covered by the company\nFlexible remuneration scheme, including childcare, transport and healthcare (the Company covers 50% of the employee healthcare premium) \nPension plan with voluntary contributions available from day one, with company matching contributions, in accordance with the pension plan regulations \nHome office policy in accordance with company guidelines\nLength of service recognition policy to reward and acknowledge employee’s loyalty and contributions over time.\nALTA Performance Materials is an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to fostering a respectful, inclusive, and high-performing workplace for all employees.
