If you are passionate about delivering results, building strong partnerships, and contributing to high-performance solutions, we would love to hear from you.\nJob Function\nAs a part of the plant maintenance team, you will work with production personnel and contractors to maintain and repair equipment as needed. This position is also accountable for the proper operation of plant equipment. Inadequate performance could result in injuries to the employee, people around, the community or the environment. Poor performance can also cause damage to equipment, and downtime. This would cause loss of product or product out of specifications. This is role reports to the Maintenance Supervisor.\nComprehensive Benefits Program\nStarting Pay: $40.01/hr\nHealth insurance includes Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance and Disability Benefits\n401(k) plan with a 3% employer contribution; in addition, an employer match of 100% on the first 6% of employee contributions\nEssential Functions\nPerform corrective and other daily miscellaneous maintenance activities as assigned\nParticipate in the plant’s preventive maintenance program\nPerform equipment repair and troubleshooting\nAssist in planning, directing and participating in plant turnarounds\nMaintain proper housekeeping and cleaning in area to ensure a safe working environment\nParticipate in team efforts to improve safety, employee satisfaction, quality and productivity\nSuccessfully complete introductory and ongoing safety training.\nUnderstand and comply with OSHA regulations such as hot work and Lockout/Tagout, as well as company policies and procedures.\nQualifications\nMust be able to read and understand P&ID and electrical diagrams and other complex electrical drawings and manuals.\nMust be proficient in troubleshooting 120 volt AC and 4-20ma controls, 480 volt motors and switch gear and loop controlled systems.\nMust be willing to learn other general mechanical maintenance tasks/duties (e.g. boiler operation, general pump troubleshooting and maintenance, piping systems, miscellaneous preventive maintenance tasks, etc.)\nKnowledge of safe use and operation of pipe machine, press, drill press, hand tools (wrenches, ratchets, crowbars, etc.), saws, etc.\nMust be comfortable safely working at height, at times with only harness & lanyard\nMust meet one of the following criteria\nCertified Journeyman as an electrician or instrument technician.\nCompletion of an accredited vocational technical training program as an electrician or instrument technician and minimum 5 years experience in the chemical or related industries.\nEquivalent industry experience as an electrician or instrument technician in the chemical or related industries may be considered.\nOther Requirements\nHigh School Diploma or equivalent\nMust be willing to work overtime, weekends and call-ins as required\nPhysical requirements include, but are not limited to lifting 50 lbs., walking/standing/lifting for prolonged periods, wearing personal protective equipment including respiratory equipment in accordance with the ALTA Respiratory Protection Plan.\nMust be able to perform the essential physical requirements of the position\nRequires minimal supervision\nGood written and verbal communication skills, and mathematical skills\nMust pass a drug screen test\nAbility to read and write English\nAbility to work with computers\nAuthorized to work in the United States\nALTA Performance Materials is an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to fostering a respectful, inclusive, and high-performing workplace for all employees.
