If you are passionate about delivering results, building strong partnerships, and contributing to high-performance solutions, we would love to hear from you.\nComprehensive Benefits Program\nHourly rate: $29.02 - $35.62 based on experience\nHealth insurance includes Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance and Disability Benefits\n401(k) plan with a 3% employer contribution; in addition, an employer match of 100% on the first 6% of employee contributions\nEssential Functions\nPerform corrective and other daily miscellaneous maintenance activities as assigned\nParticipate in the plant’s preventive maintenance program\nPerform equipment repair and troubleshooting\nMonitor spare parts inventory\nAssist in planning, directing and participating in plant turnarounds\nMaintain proper housekeeping and cleaning in area to ensure a safe working environment\nParticipate in team efforts to improve safety, employee satisfaction, quality and productivity\nSuccessfully complete introductory and ongoing safety training.\nUnderstand and comply with OSHA regulations such as hot work and Lockout/Tagout, as well as company policies and procedures.\nForklift, Scissor lift and Boom Lift operation\nQualifications\nMinimum 2-year previous work experience as an industrial maintenance mechanic or within a closely related field\nBasic Welding & flame cutting skills\nAbility to name fittings (nipples, elbows, unions, etc.)\nKnowledgeable in Pipe fitting & angle cutting\nKnowledge of safe use and operation of pipe machine, press, drill press, hand tools (wrenches, ratchets, crowbars, etc.), saws, etc.\nMust be able to tell apart materials (Carbon vs. Stainless Steels, Galvanized, PVC, etc.)\nBasic understanding of Steam producing systems & applications (traps, condensate pumps, etc.)\nPump knowledge - must be able to name types used in the plant and understand operation, previous experience disassembling & re-assembling\nValve knowledge - must be able to name types used in the plant and understand operation, previous experience disassembling & re-assembling\nKnowledgeable in Pipe sizing and thicknesses; pipe installation and rigging; flanging and gasketing; bolting and torqueing (Must be able to explain the torqueing process)\nMust be comfortable safely working at height, at times with only harness & lanyard\nDesired qualifications\nKnowledge and understanding of boilers, cooling systems (Cooling towers, Chillers) with previous state or local licensing\nBasic electrical knowledge in areas including but not limited to- low voltage controls, 120V single phase through 480V three phase power systems, lighting circuits, robotics, etc.\nKnowledge and understanding of Gas Analyzers\nKnowledge and understanding of Thermal Oxidizers\nIndustrial maintenance Associates degree or other related degree from an accredited program\nOther Requirements\nMust be willing to work overtime, weekends and call-ins as required\nMust be able to read and understand diagrams and other complex drawings and manuals\nPhysical requirements include, but are not limited to lifting 50 lbs., walking/standing/lifting for prolonged periods, wearing personal protective equipment including respiratory equipment in accordance with the ALTA Respiratory Protection Plan.\nHigh School Diploma or equivalent\nMust be able to perform the essential physical requirements of the position\nGood written and verbal communication skills\nGood mathematical skills\nAbility to read and write English\nAbility to work with computers\nALTA Performance Materials is an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to fostering a respectful, inclusive, and high-performing workplace for all employees.
