This role plays a critical part in ensuring projects move efficiently from concept to construction while balancing operational priorities, contractor schedules, municipal requirements, permitting needs, and customer expectations.\nYou'll work closely with project planners, operations, inspectors, municipalities, contractors, and internal stakeholders to keep projects moving safely, efficiently, and on schedule. This is an ideal opportunity for someone with a background in utility construction, project coordination, infrastructure planning, or operations leadership who enjoys solving problems, leading people, and managing multiple priorities.\n\nWhat You'll Do:\nAdminister and enforce company safety programs for applicable employees.\nPrepare and support project plans related to DIMP, TIMP, Public Improvement, and operational programs.\nDirect project assignments to ensure work is completed safely, on time, within budget, and with a high level of quality.\nDevelop and implement departmental policies and procedures that align with company goals and objectives.\nEnsure company internal controls, procedures, and processes are followed consistently.\nPeriodically review work processes and controls to identify opportunities for improvement.\nTrain, coach, mentor, develop, and evaluate Project Design employees.\nManage and support the department's day-to-day work processes and project priorities.\nPartner with operations, contractors, municipalities, inspectors, and internal stakeholders to support project execution and district needs.\nSchedule and meet with customers, municipalities, and other stakeholders as needed to support project requirements.\nMaintain professional and technical knowledge through training, industry publications, networking, and continuing education opportunities.\nPromote a positive, collaborative work environment while supporting operational excellence and customer satisfaction.\nQualifications & Experience:\n3-5 years of related experience in construction, utility operations, infrastructure, project coordination, or a similar field.\nPrevious leadership or supervisory experience is preferred.\nThorough knowledge of gas main and service installation, maintenance, and operations.\nBachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a closely related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.\nStrong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively work with employees, contractors, municipalities, customers, and other stakeholders.\nWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including spreadsheets and business software applications, with the ability to learn new systems and technologies.\nSkills & Attributes for Success:\nStrong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to evaluate data and prepare reports.\nAbility to build positive relationships and communicate effectively with employees, customers, contractors, and management.\nProven leadership skills with the ability to coach, train, mentor, and develop team members.\nAbility to manage multiple priorities, schedules, and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.\nCommitment to safety, compliance, and operational excellence.\nValid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.\n\nWork Environment:\nCombination of office and field work supporting active construction and infrastructure projects.\nRegular travel throughout the assigned service territory.\nRequired use of PPE, including FR clothing.\nExposure to varying weather conditions, construction environments, dust, noise, and other field-related conditions.\nOccasional lifting of up to 50 pounds, work in confined spaces, and ladder use.\nParticipation in on-call support for operational emergencies as needed.\nWe offer a competitive salary range of $89,300 - $129,650 annually, based on experience, education, and qualifications.
