This role ensures projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and in compliance with regulatory, operational, and financial requirements. The PMO Manager partners closely with Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, Permitting, Accounting, Regulatory Affairs, and Executive Leadership to align the project portfolio with strategic and regulatory objectives.\nTasks and Responsibilities\nImplement and maintain compliance with PMO standards, methodologies, tools, and governance frameworks aligned with utility best practices.\nMonitor and lead a team of project managers and ensure portfolio is executed consistent with governance, stage-gates, and approval criteria for capital and enterprise initiatives.\nReport out on portfolio of projects and programs utilizing project controls, risk management, change management, and quality assurance applications and tools.\nLead team responsible for jurisdictional portfolio implementation, prioritization, and optimization of capital projects.\nEnsure alignment of the project portfolio with strategic plans, rate case commitments, regulatory mandates, and asset management priorities.\nProvide leadership and mentoring to a team of portfolio program and project managers within the PMO organization to ensure execution of projects and programs.\nMonitor portfolio performance, benefits realization, and capacity planning to achieve program objectives.\nEnsure projects comply with regulatory requirements (e.g., public utility commissions, safety regulations, environmental mandates).\nSupport audits, regulatory filings, and reporting related to capital project execution and performance.\nPartner with Regulatory Affairs and Finance to support rate recovery and cost justification.\nOversee project cost estimating, budgeting, forecasting, and schedule management including producing monthly and weekly financial reports.\nEnsure accuracy and transparency of project financials, including earned value, variance analysis, and corrective actions.\nDrive disciplined change control and escalation processes including supporting and managing change control.\nPartner with Engineering, Operations, IT, Supply Chain, and external contractors to ensure integrated project delivery.\nFacilitate information sharing and provide clear, actionable reporting to senior leadership.\nResolve cross-functional issues impacting project delivery including work re-prioritization and optimizing resources across programs.\nDrive continuous improvement, lessons learned, and maturity advancement of project management practices.\nPromote a culture of accountability, safety, and execution excellence.\nQualifications, Skills and Abilities\nBachelor’s degree in engineering, project management, construction management, other related field, or equivalent experience required.\nCertification demonstrating experience (such as PMP) strongly preferred.\n5-7years of progressive project and program management experience, preferably within a utility or regulated infrastructure environment.\n5+ years in a PMO leadership or portfolio management role required.\nExperience managing large capital programs and enterprise initiatives.\nUtility capital project delivery.\nRegulatory and compliance awareness.\nFinancial and Business acumen and portfolio management.\nExecutive communication and stakeholder management.\nRisk management and governance.\nTeam leadership and organizational change.\nWe offer a competitive salary range of $123,800 to $180,125 per year, commensurate with experience, education, and skills.
