At Altais, we support one another, adapt quickly, and work with integrity as we build a better experience for physicians and their patients.\nYou will focus on:\nAccounting, Close, and Entity Reporting\nLead accounting and financial reporting activities for subsidiary and affiliated entities, including month-end close, entity-level accounting, consolidation support, and related analysis\nReview and approve journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations for timeliness, accuracy, completeness, and quality of supporting documentation\nOversee intercompany accounting, shared service fee activity, related party balances, and other transactions across affiliated entities\nProvide oversight of accounts payable activities, including invoice processing, payment controls, vendor-related accounting, accruals, and coordination with business partners to support timely, accurate, and well-controlled payment operations\nReporting, Analysis, and Technical Accounting\nSupport financial reporting deliverables, including schedules, analyses, management reporting, audited financial statement support, and other internal or external reporting requests\nAnalyze and communicate significant fluctuations, trends, risks, and business drivers impacting financial results and balance sheet accounts\nServe as a subject matter expert on US GAAP accounting and reporting considerations impacting subsidiary and affiliated entities, including consolidation, intercompany transactions, related party activity, accruals, revenue, expenses, and balance sheet classification\nGovernance, Controls, Audit Readiness and Process Improvement\nSupport internal, external, and regulatory audit activities by preparing and reviewing financial schedules, account analyses, reconciliations, and supporting documentation\nDevelop, enhance, and implement accounting policies, procedures, process documentation, and internal controls to support accurate reporting, audit readiness, and scalable operations\nSupport system, reporting, and process improvement initiatives, reporting enhancements, automation opportunities, and close process improvements\nPeople Leadership and Business Partnership\nLead, coach, and develop a team of accountants by setting clear expectations, reviewing work, building technical capability, and fostering accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning\nRespond to requests for guidance and financial information from internal business partners and leadership\nPartner with Finance, Tax, Treasury, Legal, and business partners to evaluate accounting treatment for new or complex transactions, organizational changes, acquisitions, service arrangements, and other business initiatives\nAssist with executive, board, Audit Committee, regulatory, and other ad-hoc reporting deliverables\nThe Skills, Experience & Education You Bring:\nRequires a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or equivalent\nCPA designation or an advanced degree preferred\nRequires at least 7 years of progressive accounting, audit, or financial reporting experience, including 2 years of management experience gained as a team leader, supervisor, or program/project manager\nRequires Healthcare, provider group, medical group, managed care, or multi-entity accounting experience\nRequires comprehensive and current understanding of US GAAP, including the ability to apply accounting guidance to complex transactions and evolving business structures\nExperience with month-end close, balance sheet reconciliations, intercompany accounting, consolidations, financial statement support, and audit documentation\nPossesses outstanding collaboration and oral/written communication skills\nPossesses excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with strong attention to detail and sound professional judgment\nAble to prioritize work to meet internal and external deadlines in a fast-paced, evolving environment\nHighly proficient in Microsoft Excel\nOracle, Workday, Great Plains, or similar ERP system experience preferred\nPay Range for California: $111,540.00 to $167,420.00\nPay Range for Bay Area: $125,736.00 to $188,728.00\nYou Share Our Mission & Values:\nCompassion\nWe act with empathy and a deep respect for the challenges faced by physicians and their patients. Final determination of a successful candidate’s starting pay will vary based on several factors, including, but not limited to education and experience within the job or the industry. The pay scale listed for this position is generally for candidates that meet the specified qualifications and requirements listed on this job description. Additional pay may be determined for those candidates that exceed these specified qualifications and requirements.
