We’re excited to share that we are hiring a Cyber Security Administrator role.\nJob Description:\nThe Information Systems Operations team has a Cyber Security Administrator position available to provide operational support to the Cyber Security team, including supporting incident response and aspects of our internal security operations and protocols. The successful candidate will be expected to develop in their position and assume increasing levels of responsibility.\nResponsibilities:\nCyber security ticket management, including coordination, follow up and triage. \nCyber security inbox coordination, including monitoring and professional follow up. \nRespond to computer security incidents by collecting, analyzing and preserving digital evidence. Support the response to critical security incidents under the direction of more senior staff. \nSupport implementation of industry-specific threat analyses and the generation of vulnerability reports.\nDevelop moderate to low complexity remediation reports and recommendations for compliance and security improvements based on changing threats.\nSupport a consistent approach to information security programs and adherence with standards, processes and best practices.\nAssemble and coordinate with technical teams and third-party vendors to resolve moderate to low complexity incidents as quickly and efficiently as possible.\nCommunicate status of response, resolution and final root cause analysis to the appropriate stakeholders.\nEnsure that all incidents are recorded, actioned and tracked to meet audit and legal requirements.\nConduct moderate to low complexity root cause analysis to identify gaps and recommendations to remediate risks. \nCommunicate effectively with representatives of the Lines of Business, technology specialists, and vendors.\nContribute to security assessments of corporate, operations and EMS systems, services, and programs with support from more senior staff. \nConduct moderate to low computer and network forensic investigation functions relating to various forms of electronic fraud, identity theft, e-commerce fraud, computer intrusion, theft of information, denial of service, multi-national organized electronic criminal groups, as well as financial fraud investigations.\nAnalyze external information and bulletins, such as CCIRC, to determine the applicability to AltaLink.\nExamine the output logs of the AltaLink security devices, tracking down root cause and putting in place remediation plans.\nAnalyze, report on, and manage vulnerabilities within the environment.\nDemonstrate key behaviors and meet identified expectations outlined in our four cultural pillars - one team, continuous improvement, customer focus and personal accountability.\nAdditional Responsibilities:\nPerform other essential duties as assigned.\nSome basic system administration duties.\nVendor communications for technical support where required. \nRequirements\nFour-year degree in a relevant field preferred or an equivalent amount of post-secondary education and experience.\nMinimum 1 to 3 years IT experience, including at least 1 year direct Information Security sector experience with a focus on Incident Response.\nProven ability/experience in above noted responsibilities.\nWorking knowledge of current and emerging information security technologies and development methodologies, e.g., firewalls, intrusion detection systems, virtual private networking, virus protection technologies, LAN/WAN design, and/or general internetworking technologies\nWorking knowledge of UNIX, Linux, and Microsoft operating systems, security software and tools, working with software developers, and adhering to compliance requirements.\nWorking knowledge of application design reviews and threat modeling.\nStrong organization and coordination skills.\nDemonstrated ability to learn new software programs.\nCertifications Given Priority: CISSP, CSSLP, SSCP, SANS GIAC, GSECCISSP, CISM, CGEIT, CRISC.\nKnowledge of information security control frameworks such as NIST CSF 2.0, ISO 27001, PCI, NERC CIP, Nuclear Energy Institute (NEI) 08-09, HIPAA, GLBA, CSOX, or other security frameworks.\nUnderstanding of risk management practices and security program development including change management, access control, and physical security\nIP network and security understanding including IP routing, quality of service mechanisms, MPLS, and IPsec architectures.\nWorking knowledge of various programming languages.\nWorking knowledge of software development lifecycles (SDLCs).\nEffective communication and interpersonal skills to interface with team members and customers to promote positive outcomes.\nProven track record of good attendance and performance.\nNotes:\nInternal candidates can submit their resume internally via https://referrals.workable.com/altalink/jobs/\nExternal candidates can submit their application via Workable externally at AltaLink - Current Openings (workable.com).\nAltaLink employees should be aware that we may contact your manager during the selection process.
